Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Rebellion!

Hi guys,

Welcome to my blog. So we are well and true into the rebellion era now and now it feels like we’ve been using it for some time now. I did get a few packs as well and now I’ve been using them.

With the addition of the rebellion set, there have been a lot of changes to the gameplay system. Some of the notable changes are some of my favourite cards being taken away from the modern league only to be found in the wild league. Some of them are earth cards which were literally my favourite cards but now what to do? Just learn how to use the new set and hopefully, I get to see cards which are as powerful as the chaos set I used to enjoy using so much.

So now that I don’t have those cards in the modern set I seem to be getting swayed away from playing in the modern league and beginning to develop an interest in the wild league; at least for now. There are some disadvantages to it though.

In the wild league the sps reward one gets for winning a battle is relatively smaller than that of the modern league. I wanted to put it out there in case you decide to go wild as well.

Even since I switched to Wild I’ve had my favourite cards though and am already in Silver III but I’ve decided not to advance so I can try and compete fly that bronze leaderboard. Now I’d like to talk about a few of my favourite rebellion cards so far. This will include summoners as well.

So the first on the list is Bera Dallin.

How could I choose my first favourite and it wouldn’t be my most expensive legendary rebellion card? From the 11 packs I opened last week, I was opportune to get just one legendary card which is also a life card. Apart from the fact that this card is about 9 to 10 dollars at the moment, it is also a very good card.

With a mana of 11, it has 6 shields, 2 melee, 12 health and 3 speed. What I like about this card is that it has the armored strike ability, which means it gets an additional attack using its amor stat. With an amor of 6, you’re sure to get an attack of about 8 in the first round.

And the mysterious part about this is that the card is a level one card at this stat level. For now, I’d be looking to upgrade it in the future cause to a level 2 it will cost me just 3 cards. At level 2 it has reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks by 50% ability.

The next card on the list is the Brewmaster Abraxas.

This is a summoner which I’ve ended up using quite a lot these days. The reason why I like using it is that it’s a fire and earth combined summoner. This means that with this choice of summoner, I can mix both the fire cards and earth cards in a single battle.

With a mana as low as 3 I’ve grown to love using this summoner as well. For me, it works perfectly cause there are times I just want to use Grum Flame Blade and Goblin Psychic in one battle.

The next one on the list is the Nomos summoner.

A fire summoner with 5 mana. This is one of the best summoners in my opinion.

With this summoner, you can choose 2 of your opponent's cards to a given a -2 magic or the dispel ability.

There are times when your opponent cards are just too strong for you so it’s always best to go for this unit when you intend to use the fire elements.

The next card I’ll be looking at is the Anachron Bolter.

The anachron bolter is a life card with really special abilities.

It has 8 mana with 3 speed. With such good speed, you’re sure to land a few attacks maybe more in a match before the game ends. Being a magic and range card it’s best played at the last position. It comes with 1 shield as well which is not a significant addition but will do little good.

The downside is that it has just 1 range and 1 magic attack so it’ll rage longer to see off an enemy card with enormous health.

This are the few cards I’d be talking about in this post.
