Hi warriors,

Welcome to my blog. This is an entry to the weekly Splinterlands social media. The season is coming to an end and boy I didn’t make it to where I want to. Well, I did make it to Silver but then I couldn’t stay there. Am currently in bronze II; yh I know life comes at you fast lol. Imagine my happiness when I made it into silver.

Well, let’s get into it.

For this battle, I used my account @rubilu for this blog.

Battle Ruleset

Ruleset ImageDescription
image.pngCounterspell: All monsters have the magic reflect ability.

This means that when hit with magic damage, does half the magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker.

When I get this type of Ruleset in a battle I don’t usually like to employ the use of magic cards but it’s very hard to overlook kron when you can use the earth element. So for this one, I used just Kron as the only magic card and hoped my opponent wouldn’t do the same.

Summoner:
Scarred Llama mage. This is a summoner I’ve grown to love using so much. I said it was gonna spoil how I play initially but then after using it for a while, I’ve realised that it’s a gem on its own. The scarred llama mage is a 7 mana card, it gives all friendly monsters +2 health, gives all friendly monsters a chance to receive the last stand ability at the start of the battle and also cleanse all debuffs from the friendly monster in the first position each round. I love using this summoner because of I to last stand ability.

First position

Venari marksrat. This is a card I selected for one reason, it has the martyr ability. This means that when it dies, adjacent units get +1 to all its stats. It’s a range card with low mana hence it doesn’t hurt to use it in your lineup.

I used it close to mycelia infantry so that it could add +1 to its stats.

Round 1

At the start of the battle, I wasn’t happy to bring a melee attacker into the lineup because my opponent went for the mylor summoner. This meant hitting him with a melee attacker would affect my health. Luckily for me, I had just one melee.

At the start of the battle, kron attacked his mycelic infantry first. It was a magic attack and as such it did half the damage back to Kron. But then I wasn’t bothered since Kron heals each round. I was able to take substantial health from his card.

His hunter jarx attacked my fungus flinger card next and did some damage. His venari seed smith attacked my first position card next and almost killed it. I was actually hoping for it to die quickly since it was useless in the first position.

His vampire blossom was able to kill my first position card( venari marksrat) putting my mycelic infantry in the first position with improved stats. After it’s improved stats it attacked my opponent's mycelic infantry next and did substantial damage to it. But then it did thorns damage back to it only cleaning and affecting my shield.

His queen mycelia attacked infantry with a one magic damage attack but with magic reflect I did back some damage.

His mycelic infantry made the last attack of this round on my mycelic infantry.

In this round one of my cars was killed and none of my opponents cards was killed.

Round 2

As usual, kron attacked my opponent's mycelic infantry first and had the magic reflect ability on it. His hunter jarx attacked next and was able to kill my fungus flinger card. I was glad it died that early in the match since it was also a martyr card.

My mycelic infantry had its stats boosted and the one I loved was the melee of my mycelic infantry going to 5 and my Kron’s magic increasing to a magic of 4.

Mycelic infantry attacked his mycelic next with a melee of 5 and almost killed it. As usual the thorns damage was made but could only affect my shield.

His vampire blossom succeeded in clearing my mycelic’s shield. His venari seed smith made the next attack but with loads of health that my mycelic infantry had it was virtually impossible to see it off easily. Queen mycelia made the next move on infantry and well it was the same old story with just one magic attack.

His mycelic made the last attack of the round on my mycelic infantry as well. With a melee of 3, it was able to clear 3 health from it.

Round 3

As usual, Kron made the first attack of the round on his mycelic infantry and vanquished it. His queen mycelia came into the first position and were quickly attacked by mycelic infantry and cleared its health.

image.png

The next attack was made by his hunter jarx on kron but as usual it had a lot of health so it was able to contain the attack. His vampire blossom attacked mycelic infantry and missed as well. To which his queen mycelia took delight in attacking but with a magic reflection I did back the damage to it.

Round 4

As usual, Kron did the first attack and this time it was on Queen Mycelia. Eight this attack I was able to vanquish her. With Vampire Blossom coming in first position it was useless since it’s a range attack card. Queen mycelia took the honours to vanquish it pretty easily with just one attack.

image.png

His hunter jarx, another range card came into first position and became useless as well.

His venari seedsmith attacked my mycelic infantry and made little damage.

Round 5

As usual, kron did the first attack on his hunter jarx card at the start of this round and almost vanquished it. Then mycelic infantry took the honours to vanquish it with a single attack as it had very little health left.

image.png

His next-range attack came into position with a lot of health but was useless as well since it didn’t attack in the first position.

Round 6 -7

Kron took the honours of making the first attack on his Venari speed smith and could only clear half of its health. Mycelic took the honours one more time and vanquished it.

image.png

His fungus fiend came into first position, this was his last card so I knew I was gonna win. It attacked my mycelic infantry and missed before kron took the honours to vanquish it.

With magic reflect ability I didn’t want to send a magic card but then it was hard overlooking Kron. I had to go with it and boy it did pay off.

The two martyr cards I added also did a very great job by increasing my stats.

A game that is very complex, complete and every time I see it I want to start, but something that holds me back is also incredible, the amount of cards and plays you make during each of the challenges. Furthermore, for things something new comes out and a lot of concentration is needed to be able to achieve and achieve victories. This post is very good friend.

Thanks for the compliments.

From outside the game looks like difficult one to play but trust me when you start playing you'll enjoy it. The thrill of the game is really good and i'd advice you check it out.
