KOTRIPHUS BAYNE! // Splinterlands Fan Art Contest
(Edited)
Hello! I'm back for another splinterlands fan art contest hosted by everyweek. I'd want to express my gratitude for their weekly support of my creativity. I'm overjoyed that my efforts have been recognized. As you can see, I've included another submission for this week. I'm still terrible at drawing and coloring characters, but I'll do my best to improve.
REFERENCE
I chose this figure because it has a simple style and a body without a shirt, which makes it easy to draw.
First, produce a sketch draft for my artwork since I won't be able to draw correctly if I don't have a sketch to assist me. I always put hive on his belt since I liked it.
Second, I draw the outline for the drawing I'm going to produce after I finish the sketch draft. In the drawing, I tweaked a few lines. But I'm having trouble drawing his face because I'm not used to drawing helmets.
Third, I determine the color. This was the easiest part because all I had to do was place the color, and I didn't know how to mix a color for its skin, helmet, or pants.
Fourth, I added some shade and highlights to its sides, as well as blurring the shadows and shines I created because I don't believe they look nice, and adding color to his hands.
Fifth, once I finished designing the character, I added the background, which I made myself because copying and utilizing other work is prohibited in this fan art.
After adding the splinterlands logo and my own background, I made some highlights in the sixth section. If it's not up to par, please accept my apologies. I'm still in the middle of a process that has to be refined.
I'd like to express my gratitude to Splinterlands for their weekly art contest. I started doing art over a month ago, but it feels like yesterday. Thank you once more, and I hope you enjoyed the fan art I created.
