Splinterlands Season 120 Rewards: 107 Bronze Chests!

I have been very irregular recently with playing Splinterlands due to new commitments in my 9 to 6 job and some other crypto projects that I started getting involved with recently. I normally play in the Diamond or Gold league but as I was inactive for a couple of seasons I got demoted down to the Bronze league. I was surprised how hard it was for me to climb out of Bronze as I had not played in this league for a very long time and the regulars here knew the tricks of putting best teams for lower level cards.
Somehow I did manage to move out to Silver league towards end of the season so I will play the next season for Silver rewards and hopefully soon move back to Diamond league. Let’s see how this goes, one step at a time.

How was the Rewards Payout this Season?
Now coming back to the rewards haul for this season. I managed to amass 107 bronze chests in total. Honestly speaking I did not have much hope from the bronze chests as I recall that is some previous seasons I hardly got any decent cards after opening 50-60 gold or silver chests.
That is why I was pleasantly surprised when I received so many rare and epic cards this time with even the bonus of a gold foil card. I always used to think that it is practically impossible to pull out a gold foil from bronze chests but I guess sometimes you can get lucky.

Will I continue to Play or Rent out my Cards?
At the end of each season I am faced with the dilemma if I should continue to play regularly or just rent out my cards. Some people have lost enthusiasm to play after the introduction of soul bound NFTs as rewards from the seasonal chests. I look at it the other way, as these should bound NFTs can’t be bought we have to play to make sure we earn enough and level them up. Also I make it a point now to participate in brawls regularly. The Gladiators earned through brawls are probably the most powerful category and with the summoners that allow one gladiator to be included they can be a game changer. I am now seeing more and more of my opponents use the gladiator cards in the regular battles. This makes it important to get more Gladiator cards so you can level them up and get a competitive edge.

What is my Outlook on Splinterlands?
Overall I continue to remain super bullish on the long term outlook of Splinterlands and continue to stake all the SPS tokens that I earn. I have strong conviction that it is going to bounce back really strong in the next bull run.
Splinterlands is on of those rare NFT based games that has been going strong for 5 years now while majority of similar games have already disappeared into oblivion. They have been building regularly and have already announced their next card collection titled Rebellion which will be launched in December.
I am really looking forward to how the land evolves and when additional utilities for Runi will be announced.
Splinterlands has already been through so many cycles of ups and downs but it continues to hold strong due to a large dedicated community.
I am planning to start to set aside some funds to pick up some cards in the Chaos series which I wanted to level up. I think Chaos cards will become more expensive once the Rebellion set is launched and now might be a good time to pick up any cards from Chaos that are missing in your collection.
As always this is my personal strategy so DYOR before making any decision for yourself.

If you have still not tried the game but are planning to give it a shot then feel free to use my referral link- https://splinterlands.com?ref=sambtc
