WAGMI Strategy Part 1: NFT Gaming Top 3 Picks!

In my recent post I talked about how I am really bullish about making life changing gains in the next bull run and how it can be done by anyone who is well prepared for it during the bearish period before the bull kicks in.

Today I will be sharing first part of my strategy which is focused around NFT based Gaming projects. If you have been around in the crypto space you are well aware that NFTs in general have taken a severe beating during the past year and most NFT collections have been abandoned or are in the process of dying a slow death. Nobody is sure which collections will be able to make a comeback in the next bull run. My opinion is that NFT gaming is probably the safest bet in the whole of NFT ecosystem. What one needs to be careful about is selecting which projects to get involved with.
Bear market is a good way to identify which games are going to survive in the long run. I am going to share some of my picks which I am confident are going to make big impact in next bull run and I have been involved with them for 3 years or more so I know they are here for the long run.

Before we deep dive into them like always keep in mind to DYOR before making any decision for yourself as my strategy is based on my risk appetite and degeneracy level.

Splinterlands
This is an obvious inclusion in my list and I have written countless posts about this game so I will not go into too much details.
In case this is the first time you are hearing about it then let me give you a brief overview. In a nutshell its a NFT based card game where you have to setup a deck of cards by selecting from your collection. Every fight will have certain restrictions and you need to your your experience and judgement to decide which cards will be best suited for a particular fight.
During the early days the reward payout was much higher with people getting cards as a game reward that are worth $1,000 or more. As the user base grew the rewards were tapered down to ensure that card value doesn’t get too diluted. Now you mainly get rewarded in soul bound NFTs which can’t be sold and some SPS tokens which can be token.
I have not used my own money to build my collection and used the rewards to trade and collect cards which I needed. That was much easier earlier and now I think someone who is just getting started might prefer to buy some strong cards to get a boost in his win rate or you could go the slow way and use only your earnings to buy specific cards and build on the soul bound NFTs you receive which are quite decent.

Mobox
This again is a NFT based game which I have been posting regularly about for more than 3 years. What I really love about Mobox is that it has multiple active and passive options to earn. There are several games available with decent reward pools. Also there are many staking rewards for just holding the NFTs. As the payout is in their native token MBOX it has also taken a hit due to the current bearish scenario but what is remarkable is that for last 3 years I have been daily getting these MBOX tokens for just holding my Mobox NFTs.

Sunflower Land
Unlike Splinterlands and Mobox the last entry in this post is a game which I came across recently. I have checked the gameplay, their discord, their progress on the roadmap and I am surprised why I didn’t come across this game earlier. It’s like gem that was hidden in plain sight.
It’s gameplay is very similar to FarmVille, and you like those kind of games I guarantee that you will be hooked to this game.
I find the gameplay much better than similar games I have played in this genre. The concept of TownStar from Gala was good but it used to reset with every season and did not give any rewards to regular player who can’t spend endless hours everyday on the game.
Sunflower Land let’s you play at your own pace and you earn their native SFL tokens which already have liquidity on Quickswap as the game runs on Polygon.

I am really hopeful in the long term about these 3 games that is why I keep playing them regularly and keep stocking up on their native tokens that I earn.
Following are the current $ values of their tokens on 15th October, 2023:

Splinterlands, SPS- $0.014
Mobox, MBOX- $0.21
Sunflower Land, SFL- $0.045

I am expecting the next bull run to start sometime around end of 2024 or early 2025 and I will not be surprised if these tokens to a 10X to 20X.
That is why I am not selling these now and plan to keep stocking them for the next bull market when I expect them to give me life changing gains.
