Conclave Arcana Dragon Rewards

Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

Another Fortune Draw has just taken place yesterday, and surprise! Surprise! I was again unlucky to win any of the premium cards. But I guess that's fine since we still have another 41 weeks where these cards will be given away. I just have to believe that one of those weeks, the goddess of RNG will give me something, aside from some Luckiest Longshot.
Anyway, for this week's Splinterlands post, I want to take a look at the Conclave Arcana Dragon Rewards, and see how each of the cards will fare in battles.

Conclave Arcana Dragon Reward Cards
The Conclave Arcana Dragon rewards have the fewest units available in the rewards set. In total, it only has 3 units, and each of these units does not even share the same bloodline with Kravor Skarn, which is the only Dragon Archon with bloodline skill. But just like all the other reward cards, they had an interesting set of abilities that, if used wisely, can help players to win their battle.
Dragonfang Lancer

Since there are no common Dragon reward cards, we moved forward with Dragonfang Lancer, the only rare Dragon reward unit that has a 6 mana cost. For an Avian range unit, it has some decent stats, with it having an armor above its initial health, which will allow this card to last longer in battle. For its abilities, it has the Opportunity ability, which is always great in attacking units with the lowest health, regardless of their location, and it also has the Reflexes ability, which prevents all subsequent attacks from the attacker, for the rest of the round if they already hit this card. But I think with Mimic, this card will be open in different opportunities to get stronger, as it continues to gain new abilities from the opponent units.
Since this unit was a dragon unit, it can always be used together with Olivia of the Brook and Palifala Weslinath to have a 3-man Mimic team. Perhaps, even use it along Elowen Sylphie and give it the Trample and Resurgence ability, so that it can also attack once again if it defeats an opponent, but just to be wary of Resurgence as it will remove all buffs that this card acquired.

Reflexes -After the first successful attack by an attacker against this unit, all subsequent attacks from that unit miss for the rest of the round..
Kazira Vaelstrik

For the only Epic Dragon reward, we have the magic unit Kazira Vaelstrik, which is a Djinn unit with 5 range damage. It costs 10 mana to use, but I think it was worth the cost for it has the Last Word ability that provides immunity to the effects of Final Rest, which prevents abilities that trigger after death from activating. like Bloodlust and Bloodline Tribute, Aside from that, it also has Flying, which gives damage immunity during the Earthquake ruleset and Poison Immunity. Being a range unit does not handicap it from attacking once it gets to the first position, since it has the Close Range ability.
As an Elemental unit, using this card might work well with the Archon Loving the Moo, since it will automatically give the card the Poison ability for its Bloodline Dominion skills, and the combination of Blast and Magic Reflect, especially if you were against a magic-heavy lineup.
Chuma Marandu

Moving to the final card, we had the legendary unit, Chuma Marandu, which is a melee unit with an Ulund Bloodline, so it gains the Shield ability from the bloodline skill of Bella Ratajowlski, aside from the Reflection Shield. It has a mish-mash of melee-specific abilities that will make it useful during melee-heavy battles, such as Demoralize that reduces the melee attack of all opponent units, as well as Retaliate that will allow this card to have 50% chance to attack when it was damaged by another melee opponent. And that Expose ability can be really effective in removing certain abilities of the opponent.
As I said, this can work really well with Bella Ratajowlski, but it can also be useful along with Akane to give it the Ambush ability, increasing the chance of exposing the opponent units or with the reworked Nidhogrr, and give it the Blast ability and spread out its danage.

Closing
And that was it for my early assessment of the Conclave Arcana Dragon rewards. Gradually, I will be able to upgrade these cards to levels where I can already use some of them competitively in battle within the league where I play, or when we had the Dragon Archon from the Conflicts, but for now, I still haven't had much use for these cards.
Thank you, and see you on the next post!
