Introduction
Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
This will be my first entry for this weeks Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Five Alive. This is a ruleset allows the use of up to five monsters in battle.
The Battle that I will show to you this week was from @bltzr-wizard-726 which is the scholar account I'm playing from Balthazar Guild in partnership with Side Door Ventures and was currently playing on Champion League of the Modern format but before I reveal the battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.
Five Alive
Five Alive | Up to five Units can be used in the battle. |
Basically, this ruleset was similar to Fab Four but with a more monster to be used and on Standard ruleset with one less monster useable but both players gains no specific advantage nor disadvantage with this ruleset.

My Team
This battle has a 21 mana cap to use for cards where the active ruleset were Super Sneak, Born Again and the featured ruleset for this week which was Five Alive. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:
Summoner: Lily Shieldpaw - Aside from giving +1 health on all ally monsters, this summoner gives the Camouflage ability which makes backline monsters unable to be attacked directly and has the Triage ability which allows it to restore the health of backline monsters that receives damage.
- 1st Position: Baakjira - A non- damage monster with excellent hit points which also have Heal to restore its health and Strengthen that increases the health of all ally monsters. It also has Void which reduces the damage from magic attacks and Slow that reduces the speed of all opponent monsters.
2nd Position: Torrent Fiend A 0- mana cost monster which has the Headwinds ability, reducing the range damage of the opponent.
33d Position: Merdaali Guardian - Another non-damage monster which have the Tank Heal ability which restores the health of the tank monsters and Strengthen to add +1 hit points to all ally monsters. It also has Repair which restores the armor of an ally monster.
4th Position: River Nymph - With Amplify, it can increase reflected damage by +1 and Swiftness which increases the speed of all ally monsters by +1 but for this battle, its Cleanse serves an important role for removing negative status effects on the tank monster.
5th Position: Igor Darkspear - We can say that this is my strongest attacker with 3 damage and has the Stun ability, which can prevent the target for attacking for a turn but does not have much use in this battle.

Battle Recap
Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.
Did My Strategy Work?
This battle with Five Alive ruleset was a battle of attrition between Baakjira and Grimbardun Smith which has lasted 27 rounds but at the end, it was Baakjira that prevails given that it has more health and has the Heal ability, allowing it to sustain the damage from fatigue.
That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
