Tenyii Striker.png

Hello there!

Saydie's here again for this week's Share Your Battle Challenge with the featured card: Tenyii Striker. It's a Fire melee card from the Chaos Legion series which has the Sneak ability at level 1. This ability allows melee cards that is not in the first position to attack the opponent's monster in the back. For 5 mana, it has decent attack and health.

Before we proceed with the battle, let us explore more about this card.

A dozen generations sandwiched between the hammer of the Khans' cruelty and the anvil of the icy foothills of Kurguzd forged the Tenyii into reclusive deadly foes. Brought to the training creche from birth, taught to steal for food, beaten when caught and trained daily with the sword and spear as soon as they were strong enough for their hands to lift steel, the Tenyii clan were hard as iron and as fierce and silent as midnight on the mountain glacier.

When the Legion's heralds demanded a sacrifice of flesh and gold to open the rifts to the ways beyond, the Khan sent five hundred waadin berserkers to bring the tribe to heel. When a single horse returned bearing a sack of fifty skulls, the Khan threatened to burn the entire mountain to the ground. A dozen Tenyii Strikers were sent as tribute to spare the tribes and to satisfy the herald's call. Continue Reading...

Card Review

ProsCons
6 Health and 2 Melee damage for only 5 mana.Very slow at base level.
Sneak allows this card to attack backline monster.Cannot be used in Little League
Dodge causes non-magic monsters to miss attacking this card and Backfire deals damage to them when they do.

Most of the time, the monsters that we put at the back are the ones that are the most vulnerable usually because they have low health or range cards that cannot attack at the first position but deals some serious damage. Because of this, the ability of the Fire element, Tenyii Striker, to attack monsters in the back with it's Sneak allows it to strike this cards first, preventing them to do serious harm to you. It's a little slow at level 1 but as you level it , it's speed becomes decent and at level 4, it gains the Dodge ability which will make your opponent to miss attacking this card which is if your opponent also has a Sneak card of their own then, they are more likely to miss their attack on this card when you put this at back. At level 7, it will be more painful for your opponent if they miss their attack because at this level, it gains Backfire where it deals 2 damage back to the opponent.

Placing it on the last position can be a good idea not on higher leagues but also on lower leagues because although it does not have armor, it has high health which allows it to last longer against the opponent's sneak attack.

Tarsa_lv1.pngSummoner4Gives +1 melee damage to all melee monsters and + 1 health to all allied monsters.
Living Lava_lv1.png1st Position7The level 1 Living Lava has the Shield ability which will half the damage it recieves from melee and range monsters.
Radiated Scorcher_lv1.png2nd1
Lava Launcher_lv1.png3rd9Lava Launcher is a range card with the Close Range ability. Usually range cards cannot attack from the first position but this card can do that.
Tenyii Striker_lv1.png4th5My opponent also use a level 1 Tenyii Striker to strike my back using Sneak
Serpentine Spy_lv1.png5th3The Serpentine Spy has the Opportunity which allows it to attack the monster with the lowest health when this card is not in the first position.
Uraeus_lv1.png6th3Uraeus is another Sneak monster my opponent use to strike my back.

My Team

CardPositionMana CostDescription
Tarsa_lv2.pngSummoner4I also choose Tarsa but it's a level 2 which allows leveled up monsters with unlocked abilities and increased stats.
Chain Golem_lv1.png1st8Just like Living Lava, Chain Golem also has the Shield ability which will also halves the damage this card will get.
Radiated Brute_lv3.png2nd5I place the level 3 Radiated Brute on the 2nd position because it has the Reach that allows it to attack 1st position monsters.
Tenyii Striker_lv2.png3rd5My level 2 Tenyii Striker will destroy his backline cards using its Sneak because they have very low health.
Djinn Inferni_lv1.png4th7I use Djinn Inferni because for the 5th position because its magic can just gets trough the armor or Living Lava and ignores Shield which means it's receiving full magic damage.
Lava Launcher_lv1.png5th9I also put Lava Launcher in my team because of it's Close Range. and because it's combined health and armor is huge.
Cornealus_lv1.png6th10I placed the range card Cornealus last because it has huge health and with the Heal ability, it sure can last being hit by my opponent's Sneak.

Battle Phase

battle 1.png

At the start of the first round, The summoners both activated their effects which increases the health of all the monsters by 1 while giving + 1 melee damage to all melee cards. The combined frontal attack of my team managed to kill Living Lava at the first round. Because Uraeus has a armor, Tenyii Striker wasn't able to take it out just yet.

Round 2.png

Djinn Inferni was down because of Serpentine Spy but it was able to take down Radiated Scorcher first then my Tenyii Striker has taken down Uraeus, making only one Sneak cards for both of us but because my backline card has Heal, nothing of his next attack will get through to me.

Round 3.png

Round 3 is where it ends as my front line attackers attacks both of the Opponent's Lava Launcher and Tenyii Striker while my Tenyii Striker goes for another kill as it finishes Serpentine Spy.

This battle has just proven how effective Tenyii Striker is on dealing with my opponent's backline. while my frontal attackers managed to take out 4 monsters Tenyii Striker managed to take out 2 of them.

Here is the recap of the match, you can also watch it on 3Speak or on Splinterlands.

Did Your Strategy Work?

It certainly works this time but I'll doubt the same strategy will work if I happen to have a match with a water melee line- up due to the + Speed of Kelya Frendul.

Do You Like Tenyii Striker?

Tenyii Striker is a great Sneak card and synergizes well with Tarsa. It consumes only 5 mana so you can even use it on some low mana battles. It's a must have for the fire team.

fire.png

What will you try differently next time?

Since most of the Fire monsters in Chaos Legion are slow at their base level, using them when playing Reverse Speed where the slowest cards takes the attack priority or Up Close and Personal where only melee monsters can be used or even the combination of these rulesets.

Final Thoughts

Soon, a new Legendary Fire summoner will be unlocked and when it's here, The Fire team will become more stronger and when it does, Tenyii Striker will be your trusted ally. Between choosing buying between regular and gold foil, I recommend buying gold foil than the regular one. For regular foil, you will spend 2.205 USD to have a level 2 card while a gold foil card cost 3.801 USD but you should take into the consideration that there's a huge difference between the collection power of both and gold cards provide 10% bonus for Rshares and SPS rewards on ranked matches.

I started to use your dividers since last month when I saw it on a Facebook post while I was making my content but I didn't know that you also made the footer since I think I saw it on other people's works too when looking for ideas and also looks cool so I used it but I just don't know who to credit it to.

I find your works very helpful since I'm still struggling with time just to make sure that I have weekly entries but I am also working on my own stuff like how I do my own thumbnails and it will still needs some time before I can use them so if it's ok to you, I want to use it a bit longer. TIA
