Ghezira Can Make You Fly Or Make Them Weary

Hello, there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

The Escalation mini-set has been playable in the game for about three months now, bringing forth new strategies and powerful synergies that continue to shake the game's meta, as well as adding more complexity to the game. So far, some cards have already marked their spot as an important part of the Modern meta, giving me a lot of trouble since I do not have them in my deck. And part of it is because of the new abilities that come along with the mini-set. Still, the Escalation set is not yet complete because we were yet to have the new Archons.
But a day from now, the first Conflict Archon, Meredrool, will finally be released in Praetoria, and a few days after that, will begin the Conflict for the legendary earth Archon, Ghezira.

Escalation Second Conflicts
The second Escalation Conflicts will start on June 22, 2026, so that will be about 5 days, as per the writing of this post, and will introduce the second out of the 6 new Archons with designed input coming from the top 6 players who purchased the most packs during the presale of the mini-set.

Just like the first conflict, the second Escalation conflict will last 30 days, where players will stake their Escalation packs and cards on Mage wagons. And after the 30-day period, they will receive airdrop copies of the Archon, based on the total points they have accumulated, though the number of Archons a player can receive can also vary based on luck.
Just like the previous Conflicts, players will be able to stake up to 5 cards and 100 packs into the wagon, but just as I say, they will only be available for Escalation. The points that each Wagon can produce will depend on the rarity and foil type of the card, based on its collection power, aside from Black Foil cards that will x.6 of its collection power. Meanwhile, each pack will give 125 points.
| Type | Point Value |
|---|---|
| Regular Foil | Collection power = Points |
| Gold Foil / GFA | Collection power = Points |
| Black Foil / BFA | Collection power x .6 = Points |
| Pack Type | Points |
|---|---|
| Escalation Standard Pack | 125 |

Wagon Crating
Based on the original announcement post, there are two ways to get a wagon. The easiest way will be to directly purchase it through DEC or Credits, while it will be cheaper if you craft it using land resources in the Artisan quarter, given that you already own these resources, or produce them on your land. Currently, the crafting cost of a wagon requires 17,500 Wood, 7,000 Stone, 1,750 Iron, and 1,250 Aura, which, if we convert to DEC, will cost 2649.77 DEC, and you need two of them.

Second Conflict Archon: Ghezira

| Name | Ghezira |
|---|---|
| Card Type | Archon |
| Edition | Escalation |
| Rarity | Legendary |
| Mana Cost | 3 |
| Element | Earth |
| Bloodline Dominion* | Feliform |
| Tactic | Flying x 3 or Weary x 2 |
So, for the next Escalation Conflict, we have the Earth Archon Ghezira, which has a mana cost of 3. For its ability, it can give the Flying ability on up to 3 units, which you will most likely place in your team to increase the chance to dodge attacks. You also have the option to give the Weary debilitation to your opponent, so that they become Exhausted and unable to attack.
As for its Bloodline Dominion, it can summon units with the Feliform Bloodline, regardless of their elements. Currently, there are five units with the same bloodline in modern when it comes to Rebellion and Conclave Arcana.

But aside from that, there will be 6 units with the Shapeshift ability that can also be summoned through this Archon, for a total of 11 units.

To get a guaranteed copy of Ghezira, a player will need a minimum of 350 entries, with each entry requiring a total of 100,000 points, with each entry also giving a 0.285714% chance to receive the Conflict card. Meanwhile, for the premium card foils, they can be obtained through the Leaderboard and Foil Draw systems.

Closing
Looking at the next Archon, I think that it can provide more flexibility on how it will be used in the battle, given that a player can choose whether to give abilities to its units or debilitate the opponent units. Does not mean that it will be the better Archon between the two, and the only way to know it is when they finally get to be used in battle.
Thank you, and see you on the next post!
