Here Comes The Dark Knight

Hello, furry pet owners! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

As of the writing of this post, there were about 2 hours remaining before the third legendary Archon, Elowen Sylphie enters the battlefield of Praetoria, along with her team of Furry pets. And after that comes the preparation for the next conflict Archon, with repairing the Wagons and adding new cards to cover the increased number of entries needed to get a guaranteed airdrop. Meanwhile, we also got the details of the upcoming Conflict Archon, which will be from the Fire element, and also has the Human Bloodline. This was Hanv, the dark Knight, and has Dominion over undead and goblins.
In this post, I want to take a look at this Archon, check for its potential card synergies, as well as its Conflicts requirements that could help players prepare their Wagons and Wagon Kits.

The Seventh Airdrop Card

| Card Name | Hanv |
|---|---|
| Card Type | Archon |
| Edition | Conclave Arcana |
| Mana Cost | 7 |
| Element | Fire |
| Bloodline | Human |
| Rarity | Legendary |
| Bloodline Dominion | Goblin, Undead gets Deflection |
| Tactics Abilities | 1 unit gets Double Strike, Swiftness |
Just like the previous legendary Archons, Hanv also has a 7 mana cost, and I guess this will be the standard for the rest of the legendary airdrop, except maybe for the Dragon Archon if they follow the same pattern that they did with Rebellion Archons. Anyway, this Archon has the Fire Element with the human Bloodline, but for its Bloodline Dominion, it takes dominion over Goblin and Undead, so as long as there are cards with these two bloodlines in any of the available elements, they can be summoned by Hanv and give them the Deflection ability, allowing units to be immune against blast attacks and reflected damage. At the same time, this Archon, through tactics, can give a unit with Double Strike ability that will allow the card to attack twice per turn, as well as Inspire that will increase the speed of all allied units, as long as the card remains in play.
As the name suggests, this Archon design was made with the help of Hanv, one of the top 6 players who bought the most packs during the presale period. And if I should say, the art of the card was magnificent, and the lore calling it the "Dark Knight" was very fitting, given how he silently and sneakily snipes the top 6 leaderboard during the presale minutes before its end.
As of the moment, there are 8 Goblin units and 11 Undead units that are available for use in modern.

Among the Undead units, the ones that I can see to benefit the most, if given the tactics was Mindless Thrall, especially when it was fighting against units with Void or Shield, as its Relentless Strike can easily obliterate them, and you can also make an odd mana version of Kelan Gaines with Cullborn Revenant or having Double Strike to Desolation and make sure that the card it attacks with Wingbreak will not survive.

Meanwhile, for the goblins, I think Gobalano Soldier gets the most out of Hanv's tactics, since it has the Ambush ability and the tactics can allow him to attack twice during the tactics phase.

And if we include the 4 units from Conclave Arcana that have the Shapeshift ability, then we have a total of 23 units that can be played using this Archon across all elements. And each of the Shapeshift units might have proved to be problematic, once they gain the Double Strike ability, particularly Gramel the Hunger and Bren Palesworn with their dual attack, which now can attack twice, as well as Calamity if it Last Stand and also Life Leech at the same time.

Airdrop Requirements

To get a guaranteed copy of Hanv, a player will need to have a minimum of 1,350 entries, with each entry worth 100,000 Points. It's 50 entries higher than Elowen Sylphie, and makes acquiring it more difficult. The chance to receive the airdrop card from each entry has also dropped to 0.074% (rounded off) from the last Airdrop.
For every 25 cards they get, a player will get a guaranteed Gold Foil version of the card, and by using 50 alchemy potions per card, it can be reduced so that the guaranteed comes for every 13 copies. Players can also use 50 Midnight potions per entry to increase the chance of getting a Black Foil version of the card to 0.20% from its base chance of 0.10%.
| Potion Type | Boost | Cost Per Card |
|---|---|---|
| Alchemy | Gold Foil chance 4% → 8% | 50 potions |
| Midnight | Black Foil chance 0.1% → 0.2% | 50 potions |
Jackpot Additions
At the end of the conflict, there will be 1 Black Foil Arcane and 5 Gold Foil Arcane versions of Hanv will be added in the Conclave Arcana Jackpot Prices and can only be acquired through any of the Conclave Arcana packs except for the starter pack.

Closing
And that was all for now for Hanv. Looking at the potential synergies of this Archon with its Bloodline cards, I can say that the shapeshift units will be the ones that we should be wary the most, as they could be really powerful once you give them Double Strike. So far, looks like a great Archon and has really good art too, then there was also the upcoming release of Escalation, so it will have more cards that it can synergize to.
Thank you, and see you on the next post!
