Krowl Brightbane: Upcoming Common Voucher Card
Hello, there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
In less than 4 days, Grayhammer Painsmith, Conjurer's Hubris, and Lorn will be out of the Voucher Shop, and replacing them will be 3 new Voucher cards. In total, we already have 6 Voucher cards under Conclave Arcana, and adding this new batch of cards, we will now have a total of 9, one of which is the common unit, Krowl Brightbane.
In this post, I want to take a look at this Voucher card, with some of its potential uses and synergies, as well as the costs of the card through the different sale events in the next 90 days that it will be available.

Krowl Brightbane is an 8-mana common unit with both Death and Dragon attributes, so it can be used in battle, so long as at least one of those elements is active. It has the Canisan Bloodline, so it can also be used for the Archon Loving the Moo, and automatically gets the Poison ability, through Bloodline Dominion, and at the same time, it can also get the Magic Reflect and Blast ability through tactics, which are just perfect for this card, since it has the Scattershot ability that randomizes its target each turn, add to the fact that it also has the Ambush ability that will allow it to attack before round 1 starts, and the fact that it can inflict up to 2 range and magic damage. So even before round 2 starts, Krowl Brightbane can potentially inflict up to 8 damage, poison up to 4 targets, and blast your opponent's entire lineup.
Aside from that, it can also synergize well with Lorkus, where it can gain an additional magic damage, and by giving Krowl Brightbane the Life Leech and Affliction ability through tactics, it can disrupt the opponent's ability to heal, while also continuously increasing its health for each successful attack that it can make.
General Voucher Sale
During the general sale, each copy of Krowl Brightbane will cost 25 Vouchers, with 2% base chance to drop a gold foil and a 0.25% base chance to drop a black foil version of the card. You can have a guaranteed gold foil drop for every 50 cards that you purchase, but you can lower it to 25 copies if you use 2 Alchemy Potions on each card, which will also double the chance to get a gold foil version of the card. Meanwhile, you can also double the chance to get a black foil version of the card if you use 2 Midnight Potions on each card you buy.
As of the writing of this post, 25 Vouchers are equivalent to 767.848 DEC, so if you want to get a max copy of this card, you will need 10,000 Vouchers for 400 BCX of the card, which will be equivalent to 304,418.976 DEC.
GFA Fortune Draw & BFA Auction
Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw: July 7th, 2026
In this method, you cannot directly buy Krowl Brightbane using Vouchers. Instead, players will need to join the Fortune draw event by entering Fortune tickets, which can be crafted by using 200 Aura, 10 Vouchers, and 200 DEC. It takes 1 Fortune ticket to enter the raffle draw, where there will be a total of 25 Gold Foil Arcane versions of Krowl Brightbane that will be raffled within 25 days. And even if you do not win, your entry will still receive a regular foil version of the card based on the number of entries you entered.
Looking at the current price of crafting a fortune ticket, it is currently equivalent to 757.52 DEC, which is a little cheaper when you buy through the general sale.
Black Foil Arcane Auction: August 28th, 2026
If you want to chase those premium cards, but do not think you have the luck to win the raffle, you can also brute force it by entering the Black Foil auction, where there will be 10 Black Foil versions of the card that will be auctioned, with a copy being auctioned every 26 hours. Here, what you need is to have enough Auction Marks to outbid other players. This token can be crafted by using 1000 Aura, 50 Vouchers, and 500 DEC for each Auction Mark.
As of the writing of the post, the price of crafting an Auction Mark is 3287.61 DEC, but to determine whether it will be cheaper to get this card through the auction or the general sale can only be known once we get to the auction.
Closing
And that was it for Krowl Brightbane. It certainly is an interesting unit with lots of potential synergies, but its unpredictability in battles is something to be considered when using the card, cause it can either help you win or cause your demise.
