Let's Celebrate Praetoria's Dragon Feast

The Splinterlands Hollow's Fall Event has just ended recently, and not even two weeks after it ended, we are going to another event. This time, it is to celebrate Splinterlands Dragon's Feast. The event will start on November 15th, as soon as the ranked season 171 begins, and will last until November 30th. Just like the last event, there will be a new ruleset that will only be available during this period, and Gwen's Glint Shop will also offer a new batch of skins for players to purchase with their Glint. But that's not all! There will also be additional cards that will be included as Jackpot prizes, separate from the Conclave Arcana Rewards, and unlike the rewards card, where normal foils are soulbound, these additional cards were all unbound, regardless of the rarity and foil, meaning, they can be transferred or traded right on the spot.
So, without further ado, let us dig through what this upcoming event has in store for us.
Splinterlands Dragon's Feast Event
The Dragon's Feast event seems to be like the Splinterlands version of Thanksgiving Holiday, which in the U.S. is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Just like the last event, it seems like we are also getting a new battle UI for this event, and maybe it will also be accompanied by an animated battle screen.
Aside from that, we will also be getting a limited-time battle modifier, which will add a new twist to the game, possibly creating new strategies and never-before-seen synergies among the cards. The ruleset's name was Dragon Breath, which has the following description.
Units hit directly by a Magic or Ranged attack receive the Burning effect.
At the beginning of each round, Burning has a 33% chance to spread to adjacent units.
All Burning units lose 2 Health each round.
(Burning can be cleansed.)
So with Dragon's Breath, one of the active rulesets, it is preferred to use range or magic units, as they could inflict the Burning debilitation on the target. Once infected by the debilitation, not only does it inflict damage to the unit, but it can also spread to the adjacent units, and even units with immunity are not immune to it. The only way to remove the debilitation is through Cleanse, but that does not mean it cannot be reapplied again.
Gwen's New Shop Items
Along with the limited-time battle changes, there will also be new items that will be available in the Glint shop, some of which are directly purchasable with Glint, while some can be found on the Loot Chests as a jackpot prize, which will require players to be blessed with some luck if they want to collect them. Each of the skins will be available as a jackpot as soon as the season ends at 1.5% odds, temporarily replacing potion %. In case the event ends and there are still skins left in the jackpot pool, they will then be burned at the end of the season. That will keep the supply of the skins very thin, and once we finally have an in-game market for these skins, the price for them might skyrocket due to the very low supply.
Skins
For the skins, two different skins that will be available in the shop. The Bountiful Series and the more rare Wyrmtouched Series.
On the Bountiful Series, there will be 3 skins that will be available for direct purchase in the Glint Shop. Gobolano Soldier for 500 Glint, Anchor-hex Adept for 2,500 Glint, and Dar 'Gottem Gearnut for 20,000 Glint. Looking at it, it seems like these skins will not have a mint or purchase cap with it. On the other hand, the bountiful skin for Akane and Eternal Tofu will only be limited to 100 copies each, and can only be acquired through the Ultimate Chests.
Meanwhile, for the Wyrmtouched Series, each skin will only be limited to 10 copies each, and can also only be acquired by buying the Ultimate Chest. What's interesting here, though, is that Dar 'Gottem Gearnut will have 3 different skins for the Wyrmtouched Series, so there will be 30 skins in total for him.

Extra Cards
The next thing that will be available in the Glint shop will be 5 new cards. They will be cards that will be categorized in the Extra set for CA, similar to Arena Fanatic as we can see with the card icon.
Compared to the reward cards, all foils of the extra cards will be unbounded and can be immediately traded or transferred, but the biggest surprise here is that we will not only get Regular and Gold foil versions of the cards as jackpots, for the first time, we can also get the Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane, and Black Foil Arcane versions of the cards, though similar to the reward cards, they will not have any Production Points (PP) and can only be burned to Glint with the same rate as the reward cards. I assume that they will also not have any Conflicts contribution.
Unlike the skins that will be available as the new season starts, these new cards will not be added until November 18th, during the game's weekly maintenance, so if your goal is to collect this card, you need to wait until the maintenance ends before you buy loot chests. In the meantime, here are the new Extra CA cards and their mint distribution.

From what I can see, there are a total of 60,607 cards that will be available as jackpot prizes, and when I separate each card's distribution, it seems like there will only be 87 potential RF max copies and 18 potential GF max copies of the common card, 86 potential RF max copies and 22 potential GF max copies of the rare card, 76 potential RF max copies and 8 potential GF max copies of the epic card, and 72 potential RF max copies and 6 potential GF max copies of the legendary card.
Jackpot Drop Rates:
When it comes to the skins, they will only be available in the Ultimate Chest, but when it comes to the cards, they can be obtained in any loot chest, though with varying drop chances.

Closing
The Dragon's Feast event may only be short, but there are too many fun stuff that is happening here, stuff that will surely keep players engaged, keep them playing, try to earn more, and maybe set new goals to reach to get more Glint. Through 2025, the team has added a lot of new things and updates within the game, and we still have more than a month left in 2026, so kudos to them for the great work and hope that they continue to build more fun stuff within the next years.
