Love Will Be In Praetoria During Amorendel Season

The first month of 2026 is coming near its end, and soon comes the month of love, February. And as the new month begins, a new Splinterlands season will come, but aside from that, there was a new holiday event with a new time-limited game modifier, as well as a new batch of time-limited skins that will be on Gwen's Glint Shop. But that's not all, because there will also be new avatar wardrobe items that will be added, so that players can get to customize their in-game character avatars to much the lovely atmosphere that this holiday brings.
So, without further ado, let us dig into what this upcoming event has in store for us.
Splinterlands Amorendel Season
The Amorendel Season is like the Splinterlands version of Valentines, which is held during the month of February, specifically on February 14th. Just like the previous events, we are also getting a new battle UI for this event, and maybe it will also be accompanied by an animated battle screen, but for now, what we have is this brand new Amorendel-themed arena, overflowing with romantic colors and festive flair.
Aside from that, we will also be getting a limited-time battle modifier, which will add a new twist to the game, possibly creating new strategies and never-before-seen synergies among the cards. The ruleset's name was Hey Jealousy, which has the following description.
All units attack the unit with the highest health.
So with Hey Jelousy, being one of the active modifiers, the unit with the highest health will be the main target of an attack instead. It's like the opposite of the Opportunity ability, which targets the unit with the lowest health, but also has similarity to Wingbreak, as it was able to ignore Taunt.
Actually, the only reason that I know of it is that I had this Battle earlier and was surprised how my Venka the Vile ignores the Taunt of Silverleaf Mage and attacks Torch Vizier instead since it has higher health.
Gwen's New Shop Items
Along with the limited-time battle changes, there will also be new items that will be available in the Glint shop, some of which are directly purchasable with Glint, while some can only be found on the Ultimate Loot Chests as a jackpot prize, which will require players to be blessed with some luck if they want to collect them. Each of the skins will be available as a jackpot as soon as the season ends at 1% odds, temporarily replacing potion %. In case the event ends and there are still skins left in the jackpot pool, they will then be burned at the end of the season. That will keep the supply of the skins very thin, and once we finally have an in-game market for these skins, the price for them might skyrocket due to the very low supply.
There will be two different skins types that will be available in the shop. The Sweetheart Series and the more rare Obsessive Series.
On the Sweetheart Series, there will be 10 skins that will be available for direct purchase in the Glint Shop. Each skins were priced differently depending on the rarity of the skins, but unlike before that skins can only be purchased through Glint, the team has now decided to add the option of buying the Skins with DEC. I guess with tons of stuff in the game that now requires Glint to get, it is now deemed that it will be fine to add purchase through DEC as an option for those who want to collect the skins, but do not have enough Glint for all of them. The pricing for each skins are as follows:

Meanwhile, for the Obsessive Series, each skin will only be limited to 10 copies each, and can also only be acquired by buying the Ultimate Chest. Overall, there are a total of 100 Obsessive Skins.
Amorendel Wardrove Items
Aside from dressing up your cards to fit the event, you can also customize your avatar by giving it Amorendel-themed items, which you can purchase with either Glint or DEC, with the following prices:

Each wardrobe item is available for both body types, so you do not need to change your body type or change the bloodline of your avatar to fit for the items.
Closing
The Amorendel Season may only be short, but there is too much fun stuff that is happening here, stuff that will surely keep players engaged, keep them playing, try to earn more, and maybe set new goals to reach to get more Glint. There is also the presale for Escalation, with all the new cards and new abilities so this coming season will certainly be busy.
