Somehow Managed To Made It Through

Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands every day!
Oh, Wow! It has been almost 2 weeks since I made a Hive post. That is quite a long break that I had. Since I started writing in Hive, the only time that I had such a long break was when I was a newbie and still learning things about Hive. Well, February was such a busy month for me that I do not have time to write a post. The same thing goes for playing Splinterlands, where it has resulted in me not playing as many games as my Energy can, and even missing some tournaments and brawls, which tanked my SPS earnings. There were also many things that took place while I was gone that I only get to learn when I play the game, since I also have not caught up with all the game announcements, both on Hive and Discord, which I plan to dive into soon and get my thoughts. But despite everything, I still somehow managed to stay within the champion leaderboard. My outright guess is that other players are still figuring out how to use Escalation.
Anyway, as the new season has just started, I want to share with you how I performed last season, as well as the current progress of my reward cards. But first, yesterday was the first day of the month, so I powered up 50 Hive for Hpud.

Modern Format Season 90 Splinterlands Report
This is the third consecutive time that I made it to the Champion leaderboard, receiving an additional 50k Glint from the leaderboard rewards. Honestly, I do not expect to be in the leaderboard last season with the release of Escalation, making all those strong decks in Diamond and Champion league even stronger. Add to the fact that I was not able to play as much last season compared to the seasons prior to it. But I guess even with the new powerful cards around, it still takes time for one to know how to use the new set, and with only four days remaining before the season ends, there will not be enough time for them to familiarize themselves with all the cards and new abilities. Can't say that this season will be the same, though, as just reaching Diamond I right now is a struggle to me. But enough thinking of that. For now, I am just glad that I still managed to be in rank 89 of the Champion leaderboard last season, which is 3 ranks higher than in season 89.

| Statistic | ![]() Modern Ranked Diamond |
|---|---|
| Leaderboard Rank | 89- Champion III |
| Rating | 3,820 |
| Total Battles | 336 |
| Total Wins | 168 |
| Win Rate | 50% |
| Longest Streak | 6 |
| Leaderboard Reward |
For modern ranked season 90, I have played fewer battles than the season prior to it, and compared to that season, my win rate has been a flat 50% last season. As a result, I only managed to have a rating of 3,820 when I am just 20 ratings shy of being in Champion II the season prior.
| Staking Rewards | 24.130 SPS |
|---|---|
| Ranked Rewards | 2,796.464 SPS |
| Brawl Rewards | 42.318 SPS |
| Tournament Prize | 930.2 SPS - DEC |
| Total | 3,793.112 SPS - DEC |
Looking at my previous report, the total SPS that I won last season was a little lower than the SPS I get on the season prior to it, about 339.012 SPS to be more precise, and this is because I just didn't have much time to play as many games last season.
And with that, I have earned a total of 3,793.112 SPS or about 23.12 $ combined at its current price.
| MERITS Brawl prizes | |
|---|---|
| VOUCHER | 3.983 |
| Fortune Entry | 381 |
And with me participating in only one brawl, I earned a total of 5,993 merits this season, which sucks because not participating in brawls also affected my other guildmates. Same with my earnings, my fortune entry was also lower, but at this point, I don't think it will really matter, as I continue to fail any to win any of the premium cards, regardless of how many Fortune entries I had.
| Glint Ranked | |
|---|---|
| Glint Season | |
| Reward | |
| Total Glint Earned |
When it comes to my Glint earnings, the drop in earnings was more noticeable since I usually hit more than 500k each season, whether I managed to get to the leaderboard or not. Now, it has dropped to 455k Glint.
| SPS Rental | 699.999 DEC |
|---|---|
| Card Rental | 21214.710 DEC |
| Tournament Fees | 1,100 DEC |
| Fortune Pass | 250 DEC |
| Total Cost | 23,264.709 DEC |
| Glint Purchase |
As for my rental cost, my total expenses this season were 23,264.709 DEC or about $ 14.12. Maybe my lowest rental expense this year. And if we deduct it from my SPS earnings, I will be left with around $9 in earnings, which is a little higher compared to the previous season, but was not really by much.

CA Reward and Extra set Progress
Once again, using the site splinterhub.com, we now have an easier way to monitor the progress of our CA reward cards, though this does not include the Extra set, so that will be manually monitored. And for this season, I finally completed 55% of my common cards from the previous 50%, with all of my common cards at level 7, and some at level 8. My rare collection on the other hand, also jumped from 44% to 47%, and my epic collection slightly increased to 18%, and now has all the epic cards, though my Legendary collection stayed at 2% completion, meaning I haven't gotten any legendary rewards from at least 4 straight seasons.

As for my Extra collection, the only update is that I got 4 more copies of Shadowcomb Duskrose, and finally, a copy of Hrolfa. I still need at least two copies of Shadowcomb Duskrose to upgrade it to level 4.

Closing
And that was it for this season's recap. With the Escalation around, this season proves to be more difficult to compete in, and for some reason, liquidity bots seem to have been disabled in Diamond and Champion for some reason, making it a lot longer to play matches. I do not know if it is because all the liquidity bots were deployed in Survival or were deliberately paused to include Escalation in their lineup. One thing I can say is that I do not like playing my matches every 5 minutes.
Thank you for reading my post, and see you on the next one!
