Splintershards Rental Market Rework

Except for increasing your rewards multiplier, renting SPS will not give the renters the benefit of being able to use it to vote in proposals or earn Vouchers, but for those who can't immediately own SPS, this is the easiest way for them to boost their rewards. At the same time, SPS owners will also be able to get additional means of earning aside from the benefits of holding it.

To start requesting SPS, you can either navigate to the SPS Rental market by clicking the Market icon in the header menu, then clicking SPS Rentals, or by clicking your SPS balance and clicking on the Manage button.

Once there, you have to click the Market tab and then the Place Bid button. As you can see below, there are two separate tables: the Bids Side, where your bids will show, and the Offers Side, where SPS holders can designate the price they want when renting their SPS. With this, you can take a better look at the current demand for SPS. Typically, if you are not in a rush to rent the SPS, you can go with a lower bid amount, but if you want to get the SPS right away, then you will have to increase your bid price.

After clicking on the Place Bid Button, you will be transferred to the Place Bid page, where you will be able to input your desired SPS amount and the price you are willing to pay, which can be paid by either DEC or Merits.

Just confirm and sign the transaction with your keychain, and the bid will be created. If your bid has a price match, the SPS you rented will be emmidiately be delegated to your account; otherwise, the bid will stay on the Bids Side until it is filled.

One thing that I kind of don't like with this rework is that they removed the ability to split rental bids, like if I want to rent 50,000 SPS, I previously can decide to split it into five 10k separate bids. Indeed, I will have to pay a listing fee for each bid, but that allows me to reach SPS holders with lesser amount of SPS to spare.

The Feature was also previously available in Peakmonsters, but it has been disabled.

But what replaces that is the ability Auto Renue Bids, so once my bids got expired, it will be automatically renewed, given that I have enough DEC or Merits to pay for the rental and listing fee.

On the other hand, if what you want to do is to rent your SPS, what you need to do is click on the Create Offer button and just like when doing a bid, you will be transferred to a Create Offer Page.

In this page, just place the amount of SPS that you want to delegate and at what price you are fine to have your SPS rented. The minimum number of days that your SPS will be delegated is 7 days, and if you click the Auto Renew Offers, your SPS will be listed again after it was released from being rented.
