Summer Fun Event: Last Chance to Grab Conclave Arcana Packs

Hello, there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

Since about 3 days ago, the summer season has begun in the virtual land of Praetoria, and to make the summer more memorable, Splinterlands will also have a Summer Fun Event that took place on June 2 and will last through June 30, where players can buy different tiers of Gift Boxes. These Gift Boxes contain different items, starting with skin cosmetics, Glint, Energy, Fortune Entries, the return of Spellbook tokens, but more importantly, Conclave Arcana packs.

These Gift Boxes are something that you can either use for yourself or gift to other players, so if you want to bring new players to the game, this can be a fun way to introduce them to the game.

Summer Fun Event

Unlike the usual Splinterlands event, which has a limited-time modifier and battle screen, this Summer Fun event seems to have none of those. Instead, it is more focused on the selling of the Gift Boxes, although unlike other events that usually only last for a season, this event will last for an entire month.

These Gift boxes can be bought through Credits or their equivalent in USDC, and can be purchased in 5 different tiers, where the price ranges from 5$-100$. Looking at each of the Gift Boxes, I think the most worth it to buy was the $25 box, which comes with either 4 Conclave Arcana Standard or 16 Conclave Arcana Starter Packs, which is priced at 16,000 DEC or $16 at peg value, as well as the Spellbook Promo Code, which costs around $10. That alone gives you more value than your purchase, but aside from those, you also get 50k Glint, 60 Fortune Draw entries, 4 Beach Bum Skins, and 4 Energy Bomb.

One thing that I want to add is that these Gift boxes are not exclusive to the buyers to open. They can also use this to gift to a friend or a new player, so if you want to, feel free to send me some Gift boxes.

Spellbook Tokens

thumb_spellbook token.png

Spelbook Tokens can be gifted to a user with a Lite account so that they can get their Hive keys and earn SPS, but the difference with the usual spellbook is that the player will not get Credits or Packs. Why need a Spellbook token, you may ask? I think a good use case of this is through giveaways. Sure, there is spellbook code, but the problem with that is you might send the wrong code or the code has already been used, unlike if it is a token that you can easily send as long as you know the username of the account, and I do not think that the team is still giving Spellbook code anymore.

Energy Bomb

image.png

On the other hand, an Energy Bomb is a consumable item that can be used to restore 5 energy, either to Modern or Wild. Not really something that I am overly exited about since I do not usually ran out of energy, and if I do, I can just purchase some Chest on the Glint shop where I will usually have more than energy than I can spend. Rather, I want to have an item that could store my spare energy so that I could use them whenever I want to play more battles.

But what really makes the Summer Fun Event relevant is that it will be the last chance for players to grab Conclave Arcana Packs in the Splinterlands Store. After the sale ends, the only way to grab them is through P2P or 3rd party market.

And if you purchase a gift box that contains either Standard, Epic or Legendary pack, you will have a chance to get any of the remaining Jackpot Prizes, which not even half of it was claimed as of the writing of this post.

This includes some of the most sought after cards such as the Black Foil Arcane versions of Calamity, Captain Frankie, Elowen Sylphie, Hanv, Brave the Bull, Dragonlord Mancer, that are still yet to be claimed.

Closing

And those were the gist of what to be excited about the Summer Fun Event. The opportunity to grab packs not only to build your deck but also to chase for those premium cards. By what I know, the packs that will be sold during this event is being supplied by the SPS DAO and is a means to provide revenue to it.

Thank you, and see you on the next post!
