Unexpected Season Results

Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands every day!

Yesterday just marks the end of the Modern Ranked season 91, and what a wild season it is. With me reaching Champion I in a long time, despite me not having even a portion of all the modern cards, and with reward cards that were still under leveled. My earlier guests were due to players still figuring out how to use the Escalation cards, but it has been two seasons already since the mini-set was released, so I'm starting to doubt that it was because of that. I also tried to play Survival Mode last season and think that I've played decently, but rather than feel rewarded, I rather feel that it was just a waste of time with how long it takes to find a match. I will write a separate post to detail my Survival Mode experience and overall thoughts of it, but will share my Survival earnings.

For now, just want to share the result of last season's grind, as well as the current progress of my reward cards.

Modern Format Season 91 Splinterlands Report

For the fourth consecutive time, I once again made it on the Champion leaderboard, which is already shocking by itself, given how incomplete my deck is, lacking not only an Earth element Archon but also most of the 5 mana and below Archons that make me immediately surrender against certain modifiers. But this last season seems to surprise me more with how I made it within the top 67 of the Champion leaderboard, earning 100k glint for my season reward, and finishing the season with Champion II rating. I do not know for how long I will be able to compete against all the strong decks in the Champion league and stay on the leaderboard, but for now, I will get all the Glint that I can.

For modern ranked season 91, I was back to playing more than 400 battles per season, and compared to the season prior, my win rate has gone up to 51.15%. As a result, I managed to make my way into Champion II. Had I played more battles, maybe I could have gone up to Champion I, but I was trying to play as many battles in Survival on the last day, which might not be the best decision.

Looking at my previous report, the total SPS that I won last season was on the higher end than the SPS I get on the season prior to it, about 1,070.35 SPS to be more precise, and this is because a higher rating comes with higher rewards, and there were also the rewards from Survival, but I have neglected my brawls, only participating in one through the previous season.

And with that, I have earned a total of 4,863.464 SPS or about 27.75 $ combined at its current price.

And with me participating in only one brawl, I earned a total of 3,733 merits this season, which sucks because not participating in brawls also affected my other guildmates. My fortune entries this season were higher, but as usual, I once again did not win any premium cards. And there were only 33 draws remaining, so I am starting to lose hope of winning any prize.

When it comes to my Glint earnings, I have almost reached 600k Glint last season, so I have lots of Glint to spend in chests this season, though I still need to deplete my Energy to buy chests.

As for my rental cost, my total expenses this season were 35,520.85 DEC or about $ 21.67. It was a lot higher compared to the last season, but this season was also longer so, so that was expected. And if we deduct it from my SPS earnings, I will be left with around $ 6.08 in earnings.

CA Reward and Extra set Progress

Once again, using the site splinterhub.com, we now have an easier way to monitor the progress of our CA reward cards, though this does not include the Extra set, so that will be manually monitored. And for this season, I finally completed 59% of my common cards from the previous 55%, with all of my common cards at level 7, and some at level 8. My rare collection on the other hand, also jumped from 47% to 49%, and my epic collection slightly increased to 19%, and now has all the epic cards, as well as my Legendary collection at 4% completion.

As for my Extra collection, I now have my Shadowcomb Duskrose at level 4 and Ruinkeeper at level 2. I also got another copy of Hrolpa, so I only need two more of it to finally level it up to level 2.

Closing

And that was it for this season's recap. With the Escalation around, I really did not expect to stay at leaderboard, much less to be at Champion II and get 100k Glint. Will have to observe if I will be lucky again this season and get my fifth consecutive leaderboard rating. I will also give Survival mode another try this season, but it might be the last if it turns out to be another disappointing run.
