Vethos Spineclaw: Upcoming Rare Voucher Card

Tomorrow is the day that a new batch of Voucher cards will be available in the Voucher shop. Meaning that you only have less than a day remaining to purchase the current Voucher cards. Once these cards are gone, the only way to purchase them will be through the secondary market, same with the limited- edition skins that come with them. So whether you were planning to buy the current Voucher cards or will be going for the next batch, you only have until tomorrow before you decide.
Speaking of the upcoming Voucher cards, I want to take a look at another one of them. This time, it will be the rare card Vethos Spineclaw.

Vethos Spineclaw is a 9-mana rare unit with both Earth and Water attributes, so it can be used in battle, so long as at least one of those elements is active. At max level, it has the max health of 9, max armor of 4, max speed of 5, and max damage of 5, making it a quite powerful card, looking at its stats alone. Add to that its Apex Strike ability that will allow it to target the enemy unit with the highest power regardless of its position, so this card can be placed anywhere within your lineup and still be effective. You also do not have to worry about Thorns or Blast damage, since it has the Deflect ability, making it immune against those abilities. But what makes this card a real must-have is its Bloodline Pact ability that will allow all units that share the same bloodline with this card to gain +1 power when any of them defeat an opponent, similar to what Bloodlust is. Its only downside is that of this ability was that when the unit that shares the same bloodline with this card is defeated, the remaining cards will receive some damage.
As for its Bloodline, it has the Rodentian Bloodline, so the Conclave Arcana life Archon, Captain Frankie, will be able to use this card and gain the Inspire ability through Bloodline Dominion, which will further increase its melee damage by +1, so theoretically, if there are 6 Rodfentian and Tideborn units in your team, Vethos Spineclaw will gain an additional 6 melee damage. But wait, there's more. Cause if you use the tactics of Captain Frankie, not only will its attacks never miss, all the extra damage that this unit will inflict on its target will be applied to the target's health through True Strike and Piercing. Which is why this card is something that you must be wary of on the battlefield.
General Voucher Sale
During the general sale, each copy of Vethos Spineclaw will cost 100 Vouchers, with 2% base chance to drop a gold foil and a 0.25% base chance to drop a black foil version of the card. You can have a guaranteed gold foil drop for every 50 cards that you purchase, but you can lower it to 25 copies if you use 4 Alchemy Potions on each card, which will also double the chance to get a gold foil version of the card. Meanwhile, you can also double the chance to get a black foil version of the card if you use 4 Midnight Potions on each card you buy.
As of the writing of this post, 100 Vouchers are equivalent to 3,206.975 DEC, so if you want to get a max copy of this card, you will need 11,500 Vouchers for 115 BCX of the card, which will be equivalent to 365,010.379 DEC.
GFA Fortune Draw & BFA Auction
Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw: August 5th, 2026
In this method, you cannot directly buy Vethos Spineclaw using Vouchers. Instead, players will need to join the Fortune draw event by entering Fortune tickets, which can be crafted by using 200 Aura, 10 Vouchers, and 200 DEC. It takes 5 Fortune tickets to enter a raffle draw, where there will be a total of 10 Gold Foil Arcane versions of Vethos Spineclaw that will be raffled within 10 days. And even if you do not win, your entry will still receive a regular foil version of the card based on the number of entries you entered.
Looking at the current price of crafting a fortune ticket, it is currently equivalent to 759.41 DEC per ticket, or 3,797.05 DEC for 5 tickets that are needed for a single entry, which is a little higher than the general sale cost.
Black Foil Arcane Auction: September 12th, 2026
If you want to chase those premium cards but do not think you have the luck to win the raffle, you can also brute force it by entering the Black Foil auction, where there will be 5 Black Foil versions of the card that will be auctioned, with a copy being auctioned every 28 hours. Here, what you need is to have enough Auction Marks to outbid other players. This token can be crafted by using 1000 Aura, 50 Vouchers, and 500 DEC for each Auction Mark.
As of the writing of the post, the price of crafting an Auction Mark is 3297.05 DEC, but to determine whether it will be cheaper to get this card through the auction or the general sale can only be known once we get to the auction.
Closing
And that was it for Vethos Spineclaw. For some reason, I think that among the current and upcoming Voucher cards, it was always the rare units that seem to be really powerful and must-have. Maybe it is to make the card more accessible to as many players as it can, so that they will be encouraged to get the card.
