Introduction

Hi! It's me @saydie, playing Splinterlands everyday!

Just recently, we also got Land 1.5 running where we can now use our cards to work on land in order to farm for SPS, Grains or Research token which finally started the Flywheel Effect and we can finally see prices for $SPS and DEC has increased significantly.

Also, we are now very really close for the release of Rebellion which was set to release on December 5th and be able to try to play with this new set of monsters by ourselves and experience the new mechanics that this set has come with which will significantly shake the meta and will also be a force to drive token prices to gone up. It is such a great time now to join Splinterlands and with this post, let us take a look for the next batch of Rebellion cards that was revealed by the team.

Rebellion Sneak Peaks

  • Mar Toren Seeker

Element02-Water.png Water
RarityCommon
Card Type00-ranged.png Range
AbilitiesLvl 1 - snipe.png Snipe
Lvl 1 - dodge.png Dodge
Lvl 5 - phase.png Phase
RF Burn Value5
GF Burn Value100

For the first monster, we have Mar Toren Seeker* which is a 4- mana range monster that belongs to the Water element. It has the snipe.png Snipe ability which allows it to attack the nearest non- melee monster from the 1st position. It also comes with dodge.png Dodge and phase.png Phase which means that it can tank magic attacks when it falls to the first position, secondary tank to absorbed Snipe attacks or serve as your backline tank against Sneak sneak.png and it has a whooping 9 health to last long while the rest of your team do the attacking.

With his skillset, he can make a good combination with Aquatus that gives the Backfire backfire.png ability that inflicts damage when the attacker missed its target. What more if there is Lookout that reduces damage from stealth attacks.

  • Moxian Rebel

Mana Cost4
Element07-neutral.png Neutral
RarityRare
Card Type00-magic.png Magic
AbilitiesLvl 1 - weapons training.png Weapons Training
Lvl 4 - phase.png Phase
Lvl 8 - camouflage.png Camouflage
RF Burn Value20
GF Burn Value500

For a Rare neutral monster, Moxian Rebel does not have much of an attack even when it reaches max level but what it has was the weapons training.png Weapons Training ability which gives adjacent monsters with no damage its magic attack which will not be removed even when it was defeated or even with Clense cleanse.png. It also got Phase phase.png which allows it to evade magic attacks and Camouflage camouflage.png which hides it from stealth attacks.

For some combinations, it can get a magic boost from Obsidian or give it the ability void.png with Immortalis. Having an armor, it can also potentially make good combinations with Grandmaster Rathe. Most of all, there are a plethora of non- damage cards that it can give its magic damage specially since it was a neutral card.

  • Redwyrm Dragon

Card Type00-magic.png Magic
AbilitiesLvl 1 - flying.png Flying
Lvl 1 - immunity.png Immunity
Lvl 5 - stun.png Stun
RF Burn Value100
GF Burn Value2500

Redwyrm Dragon is a 9- mana Dragon card. It only has 2 magic damage but it has a lot of health and armor together with its amazing speed. At level 1, it already posses both Flying flying.png and Immunity immunity.png which not only allow it to evade attacks but to also be immune on all negative status effect and an ideal choice during Earthquake and Noxious Fumes ruleset. As for its last ability, it got stun stun.png that can prevent the target to attack for a turn.

  • Runeseer Sevaya

EditionRebellion
Mana Cost4
Element6-Dragon.png Dragon
RarityLegendary
Card Type00-default.png Default
AbilitiesLvl 1 - cleanse.png Cleanse
Lvl 1 - protect.png Protect
Lvl 2 - blind.png Blind
Lvl 3 - repair.png Repair
Lvl 4 - amplify.png Amplify
RF Burn Value500
GF Burn Value12500

Runeseer Sevaya was so far, my favorite card on this batch of revealed cards. Although it does not have damage, it got Cleanse cleanse.png that removes any negative status effects on the tank and Protect protect.png that can gives all allied monsters with 2 armor only at level 1. When it reaches level 2, it gains Blind blind.png Blind which increase evasion chance by 15% and at level 3 gains Repair to restore an ally armor. Finally, at level 4, it gains Amplify amplify.png which increase damage of reflected damage

It was a very amazing support with a wide range of utility for a wide range of rulesets and since this was a dragon card, it can be use in combination of other elements and also can be use on Little League ruleset. Also, we have now lots of monsters with Weapon's Training weapons training.png ability, including the neutral card Moxian Rebel above so even if it does not have damage, it can be given an attack and at the same time, diversify the attack types that can be given depending on the situation.

Weapon's Trainer Cards

By placing Runeseer Sevaya anywhere close to any of this cards, it can gain damage depending on which card was next to it and perhaps even different attack types such as magic and range when it was between Skok Duskblight and Zyriel or melee and magic when it was between Kulu Mastermind and Moxian Rebel.

And that was my take on the second batch of the Rebellion Cards that was revealed by the Splinterlands team together with the initial combination and strategies that I could think for them at the moment. I'm still not sure whether this strategies would work when the rest of the Rebellion cards were revealed but thinking of such strategies just makes me more excited about this set.

Thank you and see you on my next post.
