Many people sign up to play steem monsters aka splinterlands but are awed by how the game is played and think it is fit for experts only but these experts became experts by playing repeatedly and not in one day.

Passionate gamers do spend hours in playing a new game and grasp the strategies soon enough and go on to become top players. Other people, like me, take time to study the game and make sure we have a little win before taking the decision to jump in headlong.

Splinterlands, however, is not a game meant only for the experts. It can be played by people like you and me. It is meant for you and me. So, be assured, you can play and have fun too.

Make wise use of your cards

  1. choose the summoner as per the rules
  2. never mix the position of the cards
  3. low mana games are a challenge to the new and inexperienced player, so study such games, especially that of the experts
  4. try playing at different times. You can get to play with people from all parts of the world and gain experience too
  5. participate in discord servers and be active. You could win giveaways
  6. closely follow the discussions of other players in the discord servers because the tips they share are really valuable and once you get it, there is nothing stopping you from a winning streak

You can also get affiliate rewards. If you like, please sign up using my referral

Great advice, that's right, a journey of continuous evolution, I don't play for a long time either and every season I feel I'm much better than the previous one.

Good advise, and defo smart not to jump in buying a lot of cards from the start. First see what you need and what a card does, better even to maybe rent some cards to try them first. That can be done for less than a cent a day in some cases. When I started, they still gave beta packs per daily quest, so I first collected a lot of cards before spending money on the game (starterdeck and a few packs before it went live excluded lol)

I honestly thought when I started playing that I should sell all my cards except for the death splinter as I only won playing death. Turned out, that I just accidentally selected a good order of monsters with the death splinter that worked, but with the other splinters I put ranged up front etc :) lol

thanks, dear and yes it has taken me real time to understand which cards not to put up front and so on.
