From Random Battles to Thoughtful Strategy: What Splinterlands Taught Me Over Time

I came across Splinterlands many years ago and it was in its initial phase at that point of time and it was really interesting for me to get on to it as it was very much attractive because that point of time not many blocks in games were active and every project that was coming on to HIVE blockchain was itself really awesome to see and that is why I got into the game itself very early on.

I purchased the Summoner's Spellbook that was essential towards having the beiility to participate in the game completely and it unlock the lot of other things as well and I died into everything that the game had to offer right from the battles and the new cards or learning the different strategies that could have actually been utilised across many different aspects of the game itself which was really amazing to witness that point of time as all of that was running on top of HIVE blockchain where have been creating content for a really long period of time and it was really refreshing to have such a platform.

But slowly I could actually not give much time towards the game and was not able to play it very frequently or regularly but regardless of that I was constantly involved in the community and noticed all of the things that would happening in the ecosystem itself along with the new card launches and the developments that were happening and seeing splinterlands grow was really awesome to witness even by not playing it often and that actually made me feel interested to hope back on every now on then but you too a lot of things that were actually happening in my personal life I was not able to do that on a very frequent basis as I used to play a match here and there.

Back then The only things that I was actually getting myself involved in in terms of learning more about the game was actually trying the different features that it had to offer and going through the basic practice mode which actually help me understand quite a lot about how the battles are actually working and looking at them towards having a kind of strategy in mind while fighting was something that's slowly developed into me because before that I used to just randomly picked any cards and click battle and thought things would work out my way.

But that did not use to happen, and slowly I recognised the things that I was doing wrong and slowly started to build a team composition based on a lot of other pets which I myself observed while doing those battles in practice or even in Ranked ones. This was the gradual process that I actually got myself involved in, which actually helped me learn more about the game in the initial phases.

However as I was not very regular on to the game it was not very easy for me to learn the strategies on my own but one of the biggest things that made me help in that particular situation was obviously going to be the community guides and people sharing their posts on the game and sharing there insights on it as well which was something that made me learn immensely and also I tried to implement that in my own game style which happened to be very much helpful for me and in that way I learn quite a lot and it was really a big game changer for me.

Another big aspect that help me massively in my game please dial was really going to be trying to review the losses that I was facing because I used to never look back at the matches that I lost after it was played because it definitely made me feel that I should go for another one and try to win that one rather than actually thinking about reviewing that match which I lost and maybe extracting some knowledge from it about what I was doing wrong and when I started to do that there were a lot of changes that actually happened to me as I know understood more about the abilities that my opponent was using and why I was not able to counter them and the things that were making me weak in the first place.

All of this was done by my side in a fashion that had a lot of time gap within every single action of its because I was not playing regularly as a mention which is why my progress was very slow which actually did not made me have a very big and good experience in terms of playing the game on a very frequent basis which could have made me learn very much about the game but it was definitely something that I used to do in the past and after that I was just an observer from the side lines of the game itself as I was always attracted to its the game itself because of the amazing things that it had to offer but it was unfortunate for me as I was not able to play it frequently.

Now that I have come back and I am trying to just be regular on the game and trying to kind of starting my journey again on splinterlands and that is something which I am targetting and now it is what I am trying to be regular at as well which is why I am learning new things as well and also have just started the campaign mode on the game itself which is something that I am focusing on right now in terms of learning more and trying to restart my Splinterlands journey.

I am really looking forward to actually be an active part of the community by being engaging and also learning more about the game and actually play the game itself which I have been a part of our so long and have much more knowledge and experience to share in the upcoming few months and it is something that I am going to be doing as well by contributing towards the community itself in some or the other way.

My Splinterlands journey so far actually had a lot of things in itself which had a lot of those small instances write from my purchase of the initial pack and later on learning to actually look back at the way I was losing the games and also trying to figure out Strategies and then not been able to play the game on a very frequent basis and later on finding away to restart that can and improve slowly in terms of learning things from the things that people are sharing is something that is actually all about it and on top of that it is something that I am trying to grow on onwards from now.

Your post is very interesting, even for Hive members like myself who have never played Splinterland but have always heard it mentioned—and who hasn't?—on Hive. Thanks for sharing this positive experience.
Is it possible to start playing right now? Where can I find information about it?

Indeed, it has been something that I've been a part of since many years but didn't play it often but have always been observing in a way. And yes, it's never to late to start playing, you can get started any time. For more details you can have a look at the New Player Guide.

Thanks a lot for stopping by !
