As promised I'm back again with another post of splinterlands. It's a new entry for this week's share your battle contest. In this post, I'll be sharing one of my ranked battles of splinterlands played with the fire splinter. I'll be discussing the lineup and strategy of this battle in this post. I'll also be sharing each and every detail of the monsters that I've used in this battle. I think I'll be able to explain the whole battle and describe every possibility of it. I hope you'll like it and it'll be enough for anyone to understand the battle strategy.

Now, let's get back to the main topic. And today's battle is quite exciting. Because the enemy was stronger than me if we consider the power of the cards. More details are in the post.

The summoner I used is named BORTUS. It's a rare water summoner of the untamed edition. This summoner costs 3 mana caps to use and has the ability to decrease the magic attacking ability of opponent monsters by -1.

My Lineup

• As you can see from the screenshot, I've used the Serpent Of Eld in the first position. Now, you can see that the monster I used in the second position has more life than it. Now, the question arrives as that why I choose the Serpent of Eld to be my first card. When there are also many strong monsters that cost the same amount of mana as this card to use. Here comes the best part of this card. The Dodge ability of this monster. With this ability, it can dodge almost every melee or ranged attack coming towards it. This gives the monster higher chances to hold its position than any other card. And in this surviving case, the 2 shields that this monster possesses also helps. And if we talk about attacking, it has the ability of melee attacking that can give the opponent monster damage of -3 life. Also, it has a fast attacking speed that makes this monster the first attacker. It comes is help in a situation like this, "suppose it loses its life and shield because of some strong blows of the opponent. Now, this monster and the opponent's first monster have only 1/1 life. But because of higher attacking speed level, it gets to attack first and make a win of the match." Well, there are always possibilities of happening exactly the opposite. But including the dodge ability, the chances of winning are always high. And these were the reasons for me using this monster in my lineup in the first position.

• Then in the second position, I used the Flying Squid. This monster has an enormous amount of life and it also has good attacking speed including melee attacking ability. Normally melee attacking monsters cannot attack from any other position than the first one unless they have any special ability that helps them to attack. And this monster's special ability is named reach. This ability helps the monster to attack the first monster of the opponent while it's standing in the second position. Also, as I mention before it has a good amount of life that'll come in handy if in any case, the first monster dies. And it did happen at the end of this battle. And then the Flying Squid took charge of the position and held its hold perfectly.

• Then in the third position, I used the theme card of this week's contest. The Deeplurker. The Deeplurker is a common water card of chaos legion edition. This monster has earned my love for it just on the first day. And it's all because of the opportunity that this monster possesses. In fact, I like any monster that has these abilities, 1. Life Leech, 2. Thorns, 3. Blast, 4. Opportunity, 5. Heal/Tank Heal. But, normally monsters with opportunity abilities don't have much life or damaging ability. Like the Serpentine Spy from the Fire Unit it costs less mana, has good damaging ability but possesses only 1 life. Which makes it valuable to any attack of the opponent. The same goes for the Feasting Seaweed of the Water Unit. And the opposite goes for the Venari Scout of the Earth Unit. I see only the Deeplurker of the Water Unit which is the main topic of this post, the only card with a perfect combination of attacking ability, life, and attacking speed. This opportunity ability helps this monster to attack any monster that has the lowest amount of life. This helps to clear out the enemy without breaking the stronghold that players usually make on the front side. It also came in handy in this battle too. I'll add the screenshots in the end.

• Then I used my tiny friend, The Ice Pixie. It's one of my favorite monsters that comes in handy during mana shortage. I call it "My Friend of Bad Time." This monster costs only 2 mana caps and yet it possesses the magic attacking ability. And the special thing is it has the Flying ability which helps it to dodge melee and ranged attacks sometimes. And it increases the chance of the survival of this card even if it has only 1 life. Also, it has a good attacking speed. But, in this battle, this card was not of any help, because the Child of the Forest of my opponent is a monster that has the snipe ability and also has +2more attacking speed than my Ice Pixie.

• Then in the end I used the Xenith Archer which is a neutral monster and can play under any summoner. I use this monster because it costs only 2 mana caps to use in battles. Also as a neutral monster, it's available in battles under any summoner. I use it in mana shortage situations or in battles that allow using a little amount of mana cap.

It was all about my lineup and also about the reasons to put each card in its position including the abilities of the cards.

The performance of my Deeplurker with its Opportunity ability and Serpent of Eld with its Dodgeability was really amazing.

In this battle my strategy was to hold the attacks using the Serpent of Eld and Flying Squid and by the time my Deeplurker will kill the opponent's monsters. My strategy worked and I won the battle.

There amazing thing is ongoing in this blockchain for almost 3 years maybe and I'm a part of it for more than 2 years. So, it's not something new but I think there's still someone who doesn't know about it or isn't a part of it yet.

This amazing thing is the ongoing contest of splinterlands. By now I guess most of you know what SPLINTERLANDS is. It's an online card game. Though it's not only a game, in here you can earn by playing, trade by buying and selling. You will also get amazing rewards in the daily quests and also in season-ending quests. This is one of the best card games that I've ever played. The fun thing is, there are a lot of cards/monsters to use in battle. And when I say a lot, I mean it. And all of them have their own specialty, separate types of powers and so many types of special abilities. There are even some summoners under those the cards play. These summoners also have their own ability which affects the battlefield. This is really amazing. This gives you the chance to think of hundreds of strategies for your battle. Believe me, once you start playing this game you'll fall in love with it.
