Bear Market and Splinterlands Rentals Are Running Wild

Wow, I've never seen anything like it. I normally play Splinterlands and rent a few cards to help get me to Silver League.

But the rental market this week has been mad !!!

CP Per Dec Price

You used to be able to get around 500 CP per dec... but a search just now on Level 1 characters has come back with the below...

Yes, that is ONE card at around 250 CP per DEC, but the others at around 35 CP per DEC.

Wait, what's that... but it's only Level 1 cards not being rented out for much. Well, it's the same up and down the market. Here is the Level 8 cards.

All at 35 CP per Dec or less.

What to do?

Well, I can rent at that level. My returns (two cards for a daily quest, and about 10CP per day) are not worth it. So, let's rent out my whole deck. Oh yes, plus buy some spare cards with my SPS and rent those out too.

As you can see, having bought some cards with SPS I'm now over the 15k CP mark (which was a goal for me for future seasons), but I'm also renting out over 200 DEC per day with a few hours of putting all my cards up for rent. With a potential for over 500 DEC per day (granted, some of my cards are specialist - a Yodin Zaku for example - so I don't expect them to go as soon as I list them!).

My strategy is to re-invest the DEC into low-level cards to boost my base CP for future seasons (and to rent out in the meantime while the prices are crazy). A Venari Heatsmith at the moment is $0.014 (12.2 DEC) so I could purchase 20 per day with my rental as it stands at the moment.

When the madness recedes, and the markets stabalise again, hopefully things will go back to normal (including rent, and in-season rewards). Until then, I'm renting rather than playing, and investing in the future.

Peace. Out.

You're not alone. Hopefully the new ranked rewards system will positively impact the gameplay experience.

This is quite the average CP/DEC or until 60 CP per DEC towards the end of season. So if you're planning to rent out your deck, expect the few days before the EoS to be the most profitable one. Hope this helps!

You are absolutely correct. New season, and it has gone back to "normal". I still remember the days of 500 or 1,000 CP per dec though. Ahhh... nostalga!

I think my plan is to play the first 5 to 8 days, rest for a day, and then rent for the last 4 or 5 days. It also stops me getting too additcted to the gameplay again. lol.
