I have been playing Splinterlands for about a year now. I don't spend much "outside" fiat money in-game (apart from the initial spell books, maybe £5 or £10 from Birthday money, and some of my Crypto earnings from Alien Worlds (maybe $5 per month) and from articles on Peakd.

This means I grow my card deck slowly buy surely, winning games and end-of-season games.

My goal over the last two Splinterlands seasons was to get enough CP in order to always be at Silver League level (15,000 CP). I had been hovering at about 12,000 CP for a while and renting cards to get me into Silver.

I pushed and used any micro Crypto earnings I could to get a load of cards, and finally I got to 15,355 CP - enough to always be in Silver League.

WAIT .... !!!

Today I logged on. Peakmonsters is telling me I now only have 14,355 CP. And Splinterlands is telling me I have even less - 13,856 CP.

Even they can't agree as to what I should have !!! :-(

Where has my CP gone?!?! I had worked so hard for it, and "poof" overnight it has vanished. I think it's down to my "Yodin Zaku" that I got in my first ever Splinterlands card pack that I opened. The CP is down to 1,000 at the moment.

This has made me both annoyed and sad. If Splinterlands can suddenly reduce the CP on cards, then why should I trust the future where they could just wipe the value off everything I have purchased? Should I just sell all my cards now? Why should I bother playing and winning/buying cards if Splinterlands can just re-write all the stats? If this was a hard-copy card in my hands they couldn't do that - just because it's an NFT what gives them the rights?

I'm going to have a long a serious think now about what to do. Has this happened to you? What did you think about it? What have you done?

Okay, I am an idiot. I've had a chat with the Splinterlands team and they have confirmed that they do not remove CP from cards.

Looking at my rental history I had a long term card that I had forgotten about. This was my culprit.

So, Apologies all around from me. The governance is good. I'm just going to have to save up again to hit the 15k CP mark.
