My last UNTAMED pack - should I Open or Sell or Wait?

I got "hooked" on Splinterlands just before the untamed packs ran out.

After purchasing my first untamed pack when I opened it I got a summoner - Yodin Zaku !!! Awesome Luck! My second pack had pretty standard cards but covered the cost of the pack at the time.

However, I also bought a third untamed pack when there were only about 10,000 untamed packs left (out of 1.5 million packs sold!). I thought that I would open it at a later date, letting some of the cards go up in value and hoping to recover the cost of purchasing the pack.

I still haven't opened it. Card prices have skyrocketed. But so has the cost of an unopened untamed pack.

What should I do? Open or Sell or Wait?

On the wax network (atomichub), unopened untamed packs start from $99. This is a massive increase compared to the cost I paid for the pack.

I could use the profits to buy quite a lot of the new chaos legion cards (starting at $0.15 for the lowest cards) and increase my deck points value.

Open ?

This is always going to be a gamble.

The lowest priced untamed cards are around $0.65 to $0.785 on peakmonsters. Five of these cards would net me $3.25 to $3.925. Worst case this would be a return on investment.

However, if I got a basic summoner they are worth around $10-$15 dollars, whereas a good summoner would be $100 to $300.

If I got a gold card they are realistically worth $20 to $150.

My guess would be between $5 and $50 - but with the chance of higher if I am lucky with a summoner or gold card.

Wait ?

There is always the option to wait. The new Chaos Legions packs will be released soon - but who knows what effect this will have on card values - especially untamed cards or packs. Will it flood the market and reduce the card values? Or will it the untamed cards still be collectable and increase in value?

What would you do?

Let me know in the comments below what you would do? Would you sell and keep the profit? Would you sell and re-invest in the newer Chaos Legion cards? Would you gamble and open the pack either for profit or just for fun? Or would you wait for a bit longer and see if the cost of untamed packs and cards increase in value?
