Struggling Beginner in need of assistance.
Hello, I am Schattenreich. I am new at Splinterlands, and I have been struggling to rise up through the rankings. I would like some tips and tricks to help me improve, as well as a mindset, or an approach to the combat that I haven't yet considered.
I hope I learn as much as I can from your advices.

You should join SL Discord and some guild too.
I learnt the game by understanding abilities of cards and analysing my battles but might be there are some better alternative now.
Thank you for your advice. If I may ask, how do you analyze your battles? Perhaps you have some insight about analysis that I haven't yet considered.
That said, I also joined the SL Discord per your advice. I think it's been helpful thus far, and if I may ask, what are the benefits of joining a guild?
You get DEC bonus for winning battles if you are in the guild but bonus % depend upon your guild level. You can also take part in brawls.
I watch my battle till end and think if some positional change in team may alter the result. If I same mana and same attack stats then I prefer card having flying or dodge ability.

There are alot of people you can follow who play the game. I am in it for the passive income opportunities but I would just keep reading posts here and join the SL Discord too.

I am not sure where you are currently as far as levels. For example have you made it to the Bronze3 or Bronze2 League?
Have you started to buy or rent cards to improve your deck?
Have you gone through the Splinterlands Academy? The Splinterlands Academy
To win battles it is mainly dependant on your line up. So your first card should be a strong card, or as strong as the current Mana Limit will allow for. For a minimum try for a monster with a melee attack of 2, a speed of 3, and life of 4 or above. Try for a shielded monster. The second position should be a monster with reach a speed of two and a melee attack of two. I had to buy a card to fill that position for both my Earth and Water Splinters. try to get as many sneaks and snipes as you can in the line up and close it with a tank.

I have made it to 1,000 ratings so far, but I hadn't much the power yet. I have been renting to improve my deck, too. Your advice about line up sounds good, I will be sure to keep that in mind. Also, I've followed all of those people except for @achim003, whose page just says "user not found". I have yet to go through the Splinterlands Academy, I don't really have an abundance of time anymore, but I'll see if I can fit it however I can.
