Introduction of schnapoon and my home prefecture of Kochi

I will answer the questions I have been asked by various people who want to know who I am and what I am about Japan.
I am happy that I have been lucky enough to be noticed thanks to splinterfest and that there are people who are interested in me and my home country Japan as well.

Splinterfestのおかげで有名になったからか、シュナプーンという人物や住んでいる高知県について知りたいと言われるようになった。
注目されて、さらに日本にも興味を持ってもらえることはとても嬉しいことなので答えていこうと思う。

When did my life start going crazy?
I was doing well in the eyes of the world, despite the twists and turns, until I graduated from college and started working.
I thought all I had to do was to get a girlfriend and get married.
But three years after I started working, I became unemployed.
There were many reasons, but I don't remember them.
In the end, I just wanted to go off the rails for some reason.
At that time, I was addicted to anime about reincarnation in another world and dreamed of reincarnating in another world 10 billion times.

That's when I came across Mr. Ikehaya on the Internet.
I read an article about his assistant recruitment three years ago and applied directly to him by DM, not realizing that the deadline had already passed.
He said, "We are no longer accepting applications, but if you are unemployed and free, would you like to come to Kochi Prefecture?"
I went. He didn't think I would really come.

僕の人生が狂ったのはいつからだろう。
大学を卒業して就職するまでは紆余曲折ありつつも世間的には順調だった。
あとは彼女を作って結婚するだけだと思っていた。
しかし就職して3年経った後、僕は無職になった。
色々理由はあったけど忘れた。
結局なんとなくレールを外れてみたくなったんだ。
この時は異世界転生アニメにハマっていて百億回異世界転生を夢見ていた。

そんな時、インターネットでイケハヤさんを知った。
3年前のアシスタント募集記事を読んでもう締め切っているのに気づかず直接DMで応募した。
「無職で暇なら高知県来ますか？」
僕は行った。まさか本当に来るとは思われていなかった。

Motoyama-cho, Nagaoka-gun, Kochi Prefecture. This is a so-called "marginal village. It is an unexplored region with a population of 3,000.
It is a wilderness that looks like something out of an RPG.
It is famous for its yuzu (citrus fruit), doburoku (sake), and rice, which is especially delicious.
It is like Masala Town in Pokemon.
My story begins here...!
I want to say something cool like "My story starts here..." and feel like an idiot, but I'm starting to think it might be true.

Here's what Ikehaya said.
"Why don't you try splinterlands for me?
I feel like my life has turned around since Ikehaya asked me to do it for him.

高知県長岡郡本山町。ここはいわゆる限界集落。人口3000人の秘境である。
RPGの世界にあるような大自然である。
ゆず、どぶろく、米が有名で特に美味しい。
ポケモンでいうマサラタウンみたいなところだ。
僕の物語はここから始まる・・・！
とかかっこいいこと言って我ながらバカみたいだとツッコミたいところだが、案外本当にそうなんじゃないかと思ってきてもいる。

ここでイケハヤさんが
「splinterlands。ぼくの代わりにやってみませんか？」
と声を掛けてくれてから人生が好転している気がするんだ。

I decided to play mainly in the Silver League, referring to ueyuey, and bought the cards I thought I would need.

My first earning was good. At that time, DEC and SPS were doing well.
But now I earn only about 400$/month in the Silver League.
Frankly speaking, it is impossible to live in Japan with this amount of money.

I tried several times to find a job to increase my income by reducing my playing time of Splinterlands.
But then my game skills would slow down and I would start researching the game again out of frustration at losing.

As I was repeating these days, information about splinterfest came to me.
I really wanted to go, but I didn't have the money, so I decided to go through with the crowdfunding campaign.
I was surprised that I could reach the target amount of about 4000$ in 3 days.

去年の10月末に「好きなカードを買って頑張って」と言われ5万ドル渡された。
僕はueyueyを参考にシルバーリーグを主戦場にすることを決め、必要そうなカードを買った。

最初の稼ぎは良かった。あの時はDECもSPSも好調だった。
しかし今のシルバーリーグでは月6万円ほどしか稼げない。
正直、この金額で日本で生活していくのは無理がある。

僕は何度かSplinterlandsのプレイ時間を減らして収入を増やすための仕事を探した。
しかし、そうするとゲームの腕が鈍ってしまい負けて悔しくてまたゲームの研究を始めてしまう。

そんな毎日を繰り返しているとsplinterfestについての情報が流れてきた。
僕はどうしても行きたいがお金がなかったので、ダメ元でクラウドファンディングを実施した。
まさかの3日で目標金額約60万円に到達した。

I rented a Champion League asset for 38 days and trained every day.
The Champion League was a completely different world than the Silver League I was used to.
I wanted to win, but I couldn't. I didn't know how to win. I didn't know if my opponent was strong or weak.

I still had a lot of things to figure out before the day of splinterfest.

僕はこの日から、応援してくれるみんなのためにクラウドファンディングNFTを価値のあるものにしようと前向きになれた！
チャンピオンリーグのアセットを38日間レンタルして毎日特訓した。
チャンピオンリーグは慣れ親しんだシルバーリーグとは全く別世界だった。
勝ちたくても勝てない。どう勝てばいいかわからない。相手が強いのか弱いのかもわからない。

まだまだ分からないことだらけの中splinterfest当日を迎えてしまった。。。

To say that I was confident would be a lie, but as long as I was going with everyone cheering me on, I pushed myself to fight with confidence.
Then, on the day of the competition, my head spun as if I could hear the voice of God, and I was able to finish second in the Gold League, which I had never practiced for.
I was also able to finish second in the Champion League, which was my main goal.
I wanted to win the championship after coming this far, but considering what I have done so far, I can only think of it as a miracle.
It was the power of everyone's support that pushed me to this point!

自信があるというとウソになるが、みんなから応援してもらって行く以上、自信を持って戦わなければいけないと自分を奮い立たせた。
すると当日は神の声が聞こえてくるかのように頭が回り、一度も練習していなかったゴールドリーグで準優勝することができた。
本命のチャンピオンリーグでも準優勝することができた。
流石にここまできたら優勝したかったが、今までのことを考えると奇跡としか思えない。
みんなの応援の力が僕をここまで押し上げてくれた！

I made many friends. I became friends with KIRA1995, my rival in the Silver League. I became friends with a whale. I got a job. I am really happy.

日本の高知県という田舎からラスベガスの大きな世界大会でMVP選手になれた。
そして沢山の友人ができた。シルバーリーグのライバルKIRA1995と友達になれた。クジラとも友達になれた。仕事ももらえるようになった。本当に喜ばしい。

Finally, let me introduce my hobbies.
I like gourmet food.
However, there are almost no restaurants in my town.
So if I want to make something delicious, I have to make it myself.
Since I came to this unexplored area, my cooking skills have improved, so I'll leave you with a dish I made myself!

最後に僕の趣味を紹介する。
僕はグルメが好きだ。
しかし僕の住んでいる町にはレストランがほとんどない。
なのでおいしいものを作りたかったら自分で作るしかない。
この秘境に来てから料理の腕が上がったので、僕の作った料理でお別れしよう！
