What I think about BOTs / BOTs

If you haven't read it yet, please read the article at the top URL.
My employer, azircon, is concerned about bots.
I am not good at English, so I could not understand everything, but I will write my thoughts about bots.

I don't know which players are bots, but it is said that most of the players who always dominate the top ranks in tournaments are bots.
This situation must be uncomfortable for many players.

In fact, ueyuey and I have been accused of being bots before.
Even though there is almost no point in using a bot in the Silver League.
And the voices got louder and louder until we were banned from Zensports tournaments.

I know first hand that a lot of people hate bots.
Now I fight against bots and humans alike, but if I had known before I started playing splinterlands that bots were dominating the game, I wouldn't have played it.

They are definitely raising the barrier for newcomers.
I want more people to know and play this great game Splinterlands.
That's what I'm working for.
I want to prove that you can make money and live off of Splinterlands, and I want to be a dream come true for socially awkward, stay-at-home gamers like me.

I am so much of a social recluse that when I went outside yesterday for the first time in a long time, I was so surprised to be greeted from behind by a local high school student that my heart ached.
I was so surprised that my heart hurt. I am now afraid to go outside.
I am not good at fitting in with society and prefer to stay indoors and play games.

There are many such people in Japan.
That is why I have to work hard.
To make the world a place where everyone can live comfortably.

My guildmate Hellslash had this to say.

"I think we should consider what the rewards we get through P2E are in return for. We contribute to the number of active players by playing the game and winning attracts other players more to the game. It stands to reason that real players are worth more than BOTs for their play.
BOTs may become opponents and make other real players stay when there are not enough players. On the other hand, if there are too many BOTs, there will be no real players.
The BOTs' partial existence is worthwhile, and they may be paid for their services. But currently they are paid too much. It is exploitation.
BOTs should be detected and rewards for accounts identified as BOTs should be limited. BOTs should no longer identify themselves as BOTs, and strong punishments should be given for hiding the fact that they are BOTs. "

I learned a lot.
I want a system that recognizes the significance of the bot's existence, but adjusts it if there are too many of them.
But that is too centralized.
There may be pros and cons.
I agree with this opinion so far.

On a very tangential note, it was actually my birthday yesterday.
I took yesterday off because I had posted two articles the day before yesterday.
I wanted everyone to celebrate, but I gritted my teeth and held back.
I spent all day yesterday wondering why I had posted twice.
So I want praise. I want you to congratulate me. I want a present if possible.

The only people who celebrated me yesterday were Ikehaya and azircon.
It must be rare to be celebrated only by Japan's biggest NFT influencer and HIVE's whale influencer!
My parents forgot about me 😂.

I am not your employer; I am your friend.

I am so glad that you went outside. Kochi is amazingly pretty. I wish I can visit someday. I am outgoing is tyipically love to meet people. People normally like me on the first meet, even if they don't understand my language. I don't know if I can pull that in Japan though. I have learned, in modern Japan, people don't talk to each other much, especially in real-life, face-to-face. I find that incredibly sad. I wish Japanese society can change that slowly.

Happy birthday to you and I hope you go explore Kochi more.

Oh yeah! I reflect now that I have put up a wall between me and you.
I'm glad to hear it, my friend.
But my Japanese sensibilities make me feel sorry for saying so!
And I worry about what people around me will think of me!
I hope to have just the right distance to this feeling soon.

Yes, Japan is forever dragging its isolation. Being an island nation is probably one of the reasons.
However, we have reached a point where we can no longer say so. Globalization is inevitable. Things will surely change for the better!

Yes, I'll make time to go out for more walks on the weekends!

I think yours is a wise opinion about bots, because for some time they are needed to make for regular competition. However, if they are extracting too much value from the ecosystem, then you are right and measures need to be put in place to make sure we can protect the integrity of tournament play and the enjoyment of ranked play.

Also, Happy belated Birthday! If only you had shared the guild about the news, I'm sure you would have received many more warm wishes. But I also understand you wanting to keep your birthday a secret. This is something I do too.

Thank you!

After all, it is not good to have BOTs dominating the top ranks.
Changing the system would solve the problem, but as a player, that would be an admission of defeat, so I am not inclined to deny bots easily.
Ideally, we humans should defeat the bots before the system changes and keep the system in a state where it doesn't need to be changed.

If the system were to change, maybe we could reduce the ability of the Champion League a bit before that happens. I think there is just too much information for humans to process, its the processing power of the bot that wins. In fact, not all bots win in the Silver League.

We still have some players that are consistently able to beat the bots at the highest levels of diamond and champion, but you are right it is an information-processing dilemma.

I'd be worried about more cards in the future. It's going to be a game like rock-paper-scissors where luck is involved. This game will inevitably involve luck, but I hope the most important thing is skill and inspiration.

Happy Belated Birthday mate! Australia is also an island nation and we are definitely more isolated then Japan, but no one calls Aussies reclused. Definitely a difference in culture for sure.

Talking and interacting with other people is a like a muscle that you need to keep using it regularly. A long long time ago, my World of Warcraft Guild will make it a point to organise monthly face to face meet ups and even though we spent most of the time talking about the game, it lets you use that muscle. Not sure how many SPL players are there in Kochi to make that work, but it's a start.

Thank you!
Yes, it is. Japanese culture is unique.
I see. Conversation is also an important part of your training.
I did not go out today. I will go out on weekends.
There are probably no SPL players in Kochi.
But my parents' house is close to Tokyo, so I can meet ueyuey and hellslash when I go home.

Thank you!😭
I can act socially at streaming and events.
So I thought you would not believe me when I said this.
But it is very physically draining.
In fact, when I got back to Japan after splinterfest, I was running a fever and had a coronavirus!
