Hello Hivers and Warriors in Splinterlands, hope you all are having a great time enjoying your battles in Splinterlands. There was not Town Hall this week but Conflicts finally got released yesterday. It means that we are embracing the new Legendary Airdrop Card, Rage, in 30 days. Having battles in Splinterlands is always a good choice to spend your time. I enjoy those battles in Splinterlands and had great time in opening Rebellion packs. And today I would like to share a super useful strategy that I frequently use in my Gold League battles, if you like it and please simply join us into the blockchain and play Splinterlands together.

The Principal Card: IMMORTALIS

It is a Chaos Legion Legendary Earth Summoner that we can obtain from Chaos Packs or the previous Airdrops in general sales period. At first, I do not think it is the right summoner that I can use to counter magic monsters other than the Death Summoner THADDIUS BROOD. But I changed my mind quickly until I develop a new strategy as the time goes by. I think I have found the key of IMMORTALIS and I will show you how to utilize all three abilities of this amazing summoner.

First of all, let's look at the abilities of this card and the requirements for each league.

-1 health debuff to all the enemy monsters
Void ability to all our monsters which reduce the magic damage receive by half
Shatter ability to destroy shield of enemy monsters by one hit

Talking about the summoner level, you need total 11 bcx of cards to max out the summoner.

For Novice and Bronze level, you only need 1 bcx.
For Silver level, you need 3 bcx in total.
For Gold Level, you need 6 bcx in total.
If you are Diamond or above, you better need to max out this summoner to utilize the abilities and have higher monster level.

Now that we know what the amazing summoner at the different levels of play, let's have a look at the battle I have chosen to showcase to all of you guys.

The Lineup

Summoner

Without doubt, the IMMORTALIS is definitely the core of this post that I want to show you in this battle. This strategy could apply to any rule set even the standard one which does not have any restrictions. Plus, the win rate of IMMORTALIS strategy could be much more higher if the rule set eliminate the melee/range monsters or Fog of war which does not allow snipe/opportunity/sneak in case.

Front Row

The MYCELIC INFANTRY is also the key tank in your team to act as an unbeatable tank in the first place. Originally, the Shield ability already half the melee and range damage receive. Imagine that you add a cherry on the top and put the Void ability on your MYCELIC INFANTRY, it turns out that your MYCELIC INFANTRY become super tanky and half all the damages receive. Good try, doesn't it?

Second

The GARGOYA DEVIL is a variables that you can fit other monster in this place. I put it since there's still a lot of mana left for me in the battle. And it is a ranger which has the close range ability that could attack even at the first place.

Third

The QUEEN MYCELIA is also a good fit into this rule set under the weak magic rule which magic attack also need to break the shield first which means shield becomes the most important thing to survive under this rule set even against the magic monster unlike the normal situation.

Fourth

The GOBLIN PSYCHIC above level 7 of 150 bcx is also the MUST in this strategy since it unlock the silence ability to reduce 1 magic damage to your enemy which is magic type. Combine with the void ability apply to all your friendly monsters, the silence result in more space of survivability. Typically, if your enemy has 2 magic damage in normal level, the silence reduce the damage to 1 and your void shield reduce the damage receive to 0 which is totally a good try.

Fifth

The ULOTH DHAMPIR is also an important element which makes your tank lives longer with the Triage ability to heal your backline monsters combine with MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN with taunt ability to receive the damage and get healed. Besides, if your enemy is using the same strategy, you'd better avoid using magic monsters or you will be suffering under the void and silence debuff.

Last

The MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN is also the key element in battle with the Taunt ability and Forcefield ability. The Taunt ability makes the MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN much easier to die since all your enemy will attack the MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN first, combine with two monsters with Triage like ULOTH DHAMPIR and QUEEN MYCELIA, your MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN gets recovered fast unless it dies in one round. Plus, the Forcefield sometimes works surprisingly when you are facing strong enemy and heavy attacks.

Battle Result

It was an epic battle that with good strategy, since the combination of Shield and Void ability in one monster is very strong and I am the Winner of this battle. The major point that makes me win is that I pick the right strategy to face the magic monsters of my enemy. And the Taunt and Triage strategy works in a good way.
