Hello Hivers and Warriors in Splinterlands, hope you all are having a great time enjoying your battles in Splinterlands. Let's enjoy the game and fight for some amazing rewards. Having battles in Splinterlands is always a good choice to spend your time. I enjoy every battles in Splinterlands and had great time in opening Rebellion packs. Normally, I will share anything about Splinterlands on the social media, it could be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

The topic of this post will mainly focus on my strategy on the Equal Opportunity rule set. And let's move on and discuss how we won the battle.

The Principal Rule Set: Equal Opportunity

All Monsters have the Opportunity ability.

Note: Speed and HP is the trick of this rule set since higher speed will let you target enemy's low HP monster first, opening the way for your slower monsters to deal damage to higher HP enemy monsters. Keep lower HP monsters in front. Monsters who have two attack types should always be preferred.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY: All Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
TAKING SIDES: Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.
LOST LEGENDARIES: Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.

The Lineup

---

Summoner

The QUIX THE DEVIOUS is now an excellent choice in any battles after the rework of rank play system since the level limit is removed and we can use any levels of cards. It is one of the summoner that I have maxed before, so that's a good choice for me to pick. As mentioned in the rule set introduction, the speed debuff on my enemy is also great since it could let me attack first. The key to win the battle is higher speed will let you target enemy's low HP monster first.

Front Row

The DIEMONSHARK is great in Diamond rank battle in max level since the Retaliate ability is added on into the DIEMONSHARK, which is pretty useful while facing any kinds of melee attack. Plus, the Enrage and trample ability works well in evading melee and range damage. It is definitely a good tank in water element.

Second

The COASTAL SENTRY is the right choice in this rule set since it has double strike with opportunity ability to target the lowest health enemy while under the taunt protection of my last tank. The situation I created for it to deal damage is super good.

Third

The DEEPLURKER becomes incredible once we level it to max level since the Demoralize ability is added on. Normally, the Demoralize ability is a great debuff on your enemy since there are lots of melee monsters and you can simply decrease their damage. Plus, the poison ability is also great while attacking enemy with heavy shield and direct damage the health.

Fourth

The MERDAALI GUARDIAN is a cool support in water team since it can both heal the front tank and repair the shield in team at the same time while only costing 3 mana. If we upgrade to max level we can have one more ability to increase the health of team.

Fifth

The IGOR DARKSPEAR is sometimes a great one that we can pick when we do not have any more mana left since it is a low cost ranger with good ability in water element. The stun ability sometimes works well and we can stun the enemy in continues round to skip their attack. Plus, having 3 ranger damage and 5 health while facing a 2 mana cost is a great deal.

Sixth

The WAVE BROOD is a tank that with the taunt ability. It works well in the battles that against magic and range monsters since it has Void ability to decrease the magic damage receive and return fire to reflect the range damage back to the attacker. The key in opportunity battle is to protect the friendly monsters with lower health so that Taunt is great one in such kind of battle.

Battle Result

It was an epic battle that with good strategy, since my DIEMONSHARK and WAVE BROOD plays a good role in tanking all the damages from my enemy while my MERDAALI GUARDIAN keeps healing the DIEMONSHARK to sustain the survivability. Meanwhile, the Opportunity makes sure all my monsters can attack the enemy even if it is a melee attacker. After make sure all my back line monsters are well-protected under the taunt and healing ability. My monsters safe enough to eliminate all the enemies. They are on fire~

Win Rate Analysis

The strategy was perfect since my enemy has less than 10% chance to win this battle based on 100 battles of simulation in Xbot. This website helps me improve my win rate as the time goes by since I normally check every win rate of my rank battles afterwards, which helps me build up better strategy to make more wins. Definitely suggest all of you or new comers in Splinterlands to utilize the function of this tool.
