Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge: Fog of War~
Welcome Everyone
Hello Hivers and Warriors in Splinterlands, hope you all are having a great time enjoying your battles in Splinterlands. Let's enjoy the game and fight for some amazing rewards. Having battles in Splinterlands is always a good choice to spend your time. I enjoy every battles in Splinterlands and had great time in opening Rebellion packs. Normally, I will share anything about Splinterlands on the social media, it could be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
The topic of this post will mainly focus on my strategy on the Fog of War rule set. And let's move on and discuss how we won the battle.
The Principal Rule Set: Fog of War
Fog of War: Monsters lose the Sneak and Snipe abilities.
Note: A good tank and a balanced line up of Magic and Ranged monsters is the trick to win in this ruleset. Keep your monsters in an ascending order of their HP.
The Battle Rules
36 Mana Cost
Rise of the commons: Only common and rare monster can be used in battle.
Fog of War: Monsters lose the Sneak and Snipe abilities.
Enrage: All monsters have the enrage ability.

The Lineup Analysis
Summoner
The KELYA FRENDUL is always a good choice for me to go for if I want to stack my speed up with different abilities. It gives my team +1 shield and +1 speed at the start of the battle. Sometimes, it does great when we face the melee and range type enemy.
Front Row
The DIEMONSHARK is always a great tank got put in the first place since it has the retaliate ability to counter melee monsters with a 50% chance to hit back after the damage. And the enrage ability could boost the melee damage and speed by 50% when it is not in full health.
Second
The FLYING SQUID is sometimes my second place of tank monster with reach ability. Plus, the Blind ability nerf my enemy with a 15% chance of missing melee/ range attack. It is useful to counter as long as my enemy does not go for magic type. Plus, the backfire deals 2 damage back if my enemy miss the attack on my FLYING SQUID.
Third
The RIVER NYMPH is a great supporter with cleanse ability to remove all the negative stats on my first tank. Sometimes, the cleanse is a great one to counter the Affliction. Plus, the swiftness of +1 speed boost is a cherry on the top to boost my speed.
Fourth
The MERDHAMPIR with cripple is a great one to counter monsters with heavy shield in battles since it will also decrease the health cap of the enemy by 1 if the attack applies on the shield of the enemy. Besides that, the life leech also enables the way of survival in battle.
Fifth
The SUPPLY RUNNER is also a great one to fit into my team as it provides +1 speed and +1 health to all my friendly monsters as long as it stay in the battlefield. Therefore, I try to put it a the back of my whole team.
Last
The MERDAALI GUARDIAN is definitely the soul of my whole team under the Fog of War rule set since all the abilities that could possibility hurt MERDAALI GUARDIAN does not work again such as the sneak, opportunity and snipe. Therefore, I put this great supporter at the last place to heal my front tank and repair the shield. It is safe enough to survive.
Battle Result
It was a good example to proof that speed boost strategy for melee and range monsters works well when we are having a Fog of War battle. As a result, my reflection is that I will keep use this strategy when the rule set is favorable or I have enough mana to pick all the monsters with relevant ability to make a combination.
Win Rate Analysis
The strategy works well since my team has nearly 90% of chance in winning this battle based on 100 battles of simulation in Xbot. This website helps me improve my win rate as the time goes by since I normally check every win rate of my rank battles afterwards, which helps me build up better strategy to make more wins. Definitely suggest all of you or new comers in Splinterlands to utilize the function of this tool.
