WHATZZZ UP!

For my line up in this battle:

1. Albatross
2. Hardy Stonefish
3. Chaos Agent
4. Deeplurker
5. Ice Pixie
6. Kulu Swimhunter

Versus my enemy's line up:

1. Carrion Shade
2. Riftwing
3. Death Elemental
4. Undead Badger
5. Silent Sha-vi

It is Water Summoner versus Death Summoner. Both requires four mana and has two abilities. The water summoner increases the speed and adding one extra shield for its allies. While the Death Summoner reduces the attack of cards with magic and also reducing one health. I can say that both cards are flexible because of their abilities.

My first frontline is the albatross. Yes it only has one life and does not suit well as a tank. But it is part of the plan. I want to waste the attack of my opponent with this card. If you will take a closer look, most of my cards in the first to third position are used to distract my opponent. While my main cards or the attackers are at the backline because they are in magic and range attack. This means I have 3 fake tanks and then my main tank will be the Deeplurker if it will manage to go in the first spot. Deeplurker is best in the fourth position beacause it has Opportunity ability. This will give it a time to attack the opponent's cards with low health. Its ability will be useless if I will place it immediately in the front line. It will not be able to attack the other cards since it will only focus on the frontline of my opponent.

After Round 1, I only have four cards left. While my opponent is down to three cards. I did not expect that my Chaos Agent will be the first one to be taken down. I really thought it will be based on the position that I put them. Where it should be the Albatross first to take the damage. But my plan still worked. I wasted one of my opponent's attack. My only problem in this battle is the Riftwing, it does not have attack ability. But it served as a good tank because of its scavenger ability. It is like an unli heal everytime a card has been taken down.

After Round 2, the Riftwing is still alive. And now it has 10 lives. My frontline cannot attack it since it was a distraction card. My second card is just waiting to be in the first spot for it to make an attack. My only hope in this round is the Deeplurker. It is the only one that can attack. However, it cannot also take down the Riftwing because of its large health. The only card with lowest number of life is the Silent Sha-vi. I guess the ability of the Deeplurker is an advantage in this round because it is targeting the Main damage dealer of my opponent. Once we are able to taken down the damage dealer. My opponent will be left with Riftwing that cannot attack.

At Round 4, we were able to take down the Silent Shavi. The damage dealer is down, this means it will be a smooth round for our side. We will be able to take down the Riftwing despite of its number of health.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

I can say that my srategy work, even though some of my main damage dealer in the backline were taken down. I am still able to protect one of my main damage dealer which is the Deeplurker. And its ability was really a great advantage in this battle. If my opponent did not have cards with sneak ability, I guess my cards in the backline will be safe. It can be a fast round if that happened.

I was impressed at the ability of the Riftwing. Maybe I can try it next time on my battles. It can really be a good tank for my cards.
