I did it!

I finally managed to break into Bronze 2! Huge shoutout to my Merchants Guild, as I couldn't have gotten there half as fast if they weren't helping me out.
Unfortunately, this now means I get to butt my head against the different modifiers there are while battling. I appreciate the diversity in gameplay as it keeps things interesting and adds a whole new dimension to an already great game. Also super happy to be earning DEC from wins now.
Of course the only answer is going to be play and learn as I go, but I was wondering what advice you might have to a new player taking their first steps into what might be considered the real game? I'd love to hear some of your favorite ways to play with different modifiers or which ones you absolutely despise.

Actually all the modifiers are exactly the same throughout Bronze. Nothing changes until you hit Silver. So, when you borrow the cards from the guild we try to level them up to Bronze maximum for you to help you through. Keep on battling and keep asking for cards each day so you can level up.

One tip I do have. If you have a quests of a specific splinter you will always have them available when choosing your teams. If you get snipe/sneak you never know what splinters will be available.

I'm sorry, I meant the battle-specific environmental differences. For example there's one where creatures without flying take damage at the start of a round, or another which gives all ranged creatures the snipe trait. I'm still not sure what they're called, hahah

That would be earthquake for damage to fliers. I didn't realize that Bronze 3 didn't have those. Yeah, have fun with those for sure. Make all the difference in what you need to use a lot of the time.
