So what's the deal with guilds?

avatar

Anytime I apply to a guild (there are no open guilds with spots that speak my language) I either hear nothing back or get rejected. What do guilds look for when recruiting? I'm a low level f2p player, but is there any reason why I wouldn't be able to contribute?
I've heard there are some nice benefits to joining a guild which would really help me out, but getting into one has proven to be a hassle. Any advice?

Guilds look mostly for players that own cards, users that rent usually can't compete in equal terms with those who own their collections even if are tiny. My advice would be to start in a recently built guild. If you manage to get some gladiators in the brawls that will make you definitely more interesting for higher guilds.

If you're only applying in-game a lot of them will ignore it too because they take applications or advertise through Discord or other channels.
It depends on the guilds too, some are very strict and competitive, some run the guild to make money of running a guild, some just create one in hopes of having a full, active team playing together.

My guild Dinero Juegos is shooting for #1 Spanish guild, but we're still focused on teamwork and being a part of the community more than anything. We have a hive.blog page too which you can check out if you'd like, not any openings now unfortunately.

A big part of any guild is being active and having a decent ranking to prove you are committed to the game, if you're Bronze 2, that's essentially the lowest rank because you can't earn from battles below, so you will either need to find a guild that helps new players, or work up to Silver 3 or higher and then search. The benefits of being in a guild aren't very useful when you're in bronze either, though still good.

Here's a few great links that you might find useful!

Thank you! This is very helpful, I'll take a look at those links and try to look around for some discord pages or things like that. Also working on getting my collection up, for sure.

If you are looking for a guild reply to this post and I'll send you an invite to the 'Merchants Guild'.

As voice for the guild we look for people who post and curate on Splintertalk.io (so new players can get SPT). Ideally who communicate in guild chat so we can have a friendly feel. Who support the guild by purchasing GLD token (preferred) or donate DEC (accepted but not preferred) and only equal to half the value you get from the guild. Of course battling and being active in the game is also a big plus :)

I would love to join! I'm still trying to increase my power to get into bronze 2 and start earning DEC, but once I do, I'd be happy to contribute!

You have an invite to the Merchants Guild. We can help you get power and advance. Let us know what your daily quest is and we will send a lineup to help you compete. Don't worry about the DEC for now but please keep on posting on splintertalk, upvote your fellow guild members, and when you feel the guild has given you value head over to the hive-engine and buy a GLD coin or two.
