We have three rulesets in effect: Equal Opportunity, Up to Eleven and Back to Basics. Three splinters are active: Water, Earth and Death:

RULESET: Equal Opportunity

Description:

All units gain the opportunity ability which allows them to attack the unit with the lowest health on the enemy team.

The Strategy

The strategy in the Equal Opportunity is all based around speed, this is also amplified by the fact that we have a Back to Basics ruleset in effect as well. So the speed and health are the two most important parameters. Shield is also beneficial in this scenario.

I chose to go with the Water team as it has plenty of fast monster and a great summoner Kelya Frendul that covers the whole team with one shield and boosts the speed of all units by one.

Upfront I chose Diemonshark as my tank. Diemonshark boasts fast base speed of four, six shield four melee damage and ten health points. This is a durable and fast tank with good damage. In the second position I placed Cruel Sethropod to serve as a secondary tank, it also has a decent damage of three but is kind of slow with a base speed of two.

Third I placed Djinn Oshannus. Djinn is a really fast magic damage monster which has a base speed of five, great health of eleven which is the highest health of all my monsters so it can keep delivering three magic damage until the end.

In the fourth position I have Pelacor Bandit which is super fast and has great damage of four. Then goes Tide Bitter and Kulu Swimhunter both are fast and have pretty good damage.

The Summoner

Kelya is one of my favorite summoners. This summoner comes from the Chaos Legion Core set and is of rare rarity. For only four mana it gives the whole team a speed boost and one shield both of which are critical in the Equal Opportunity ruleset.

1st Slot - Tank Monster

Diemonshark is also a member of the Chaos Legion Core set. It has good speed, damage lots of shield and health. This is a perfect tank for the Equal Opportunity and Back to Basics rulesets

2nd Slot - Secondary Tank Monster

Cruel Sethropod is also from the Chaos Legion Core set. This common rarity monster is a great secondary tank with three damage, six shield and seven health with a decent damage of three for only three mana!

3rd Slot - Magic Damage Monster

Djinn Oshannus is an old Chaos Legion rewards legendary card. I remember when it was priced at $50 per BCX! The prices are way down from those times, but this is still a great card with fast speed of five, three magic damage and eleven health.

4th Slot - Fast Melee Monster

Pelacor Bandit is a super fast high melee damage monster. With a base speed of six, five health and four melee damage for only three mana this Chaos Legion Rewards set member is my go to low mana damage dealer that is perfect for the Equal Opportunity ruleset

5th Slot - Fast Melee Monster

Tide Biter is fast, has good damage and health, what else do you need in the Back to Basics and Equal Opportunity rulesets?

6th Slot - Ranged Damage Dealer Monster

And last but not least we have a fast ranged damage dealer. With a speed of five and four ranged damage and six health for only four mana this is a great monster for the Equal Opportunity ruleset.

THE BATTLE

Our opponent went with the green team. Their team is also pretty fast, lets see if it is going to be fast enough...
image.png

In the first round we lost our Pelacor Bandit but not before he too four damage to their Gem Meteor which was taken out with the next shot. We also took out their bat. We are going into the second round with a clear advantage.

Second round was also pretty good for us. We took out their front tank and their opportunity monster.

Round three was the winning round for our team.

We won almost 5.5 SPS against a higher ranked opponent.
