First time using CardAuctionz.com to buy a card. I bought a regular foil Djinn Oshannus with DEC to try this out

This is my first time buying a card at Card Auctionz .com. What brought me here is not the well known fact that Card Auctionz offers a 3.25% cashback rewards, but the fact that one of the site founders Marcus Wahl helped me get 20% extra Chaos Legion packs during the pre-sale by organizing the buying pool that took 5th place on the pre-sale leaderboard:

That was a fun race all the way to the last minute of the presale. I bought 50 packs in the first wave of group buys and then added another 10 packs for wave 4 or something like that in total buying 60 packs and getting a total of 72 packs which included bonuses.

During the presale pool process I had seen Marcus work hard on running the pool and delivering packs. This was not the first time I actually heard of Marcus since I participated in his tournaments before, but never won any prizes as my skills and deck were not good enough :)

I always bought cards on Splinterlands market and also did bids on Peak Monsters and got one card from there, my bids sit for a long time at near the top of the bidding range, but usually nothing comes through. So today after opening season rewards for Gold 2 and getting no legendary cards I decided to try out Card Auctionz:

First day of the season everyone opens their rewards and there seems to be extra inflow of cards into the market so prices are pretty good and timing is not bad to buy something. I was deciding between Gold Foil Venari Wavesmith and regular foil Djinn Oshannus they are about the same price and I have decided on Djinn Oshannus as legendary monsters are always great to have. I believe this highly functional monster will be a great long term investment.

So I decided that it is time to try out Card Auctionz. I logged into the site and clicked Maket and the first thing I see is:

I must say that the interface is not as intuitive as Splinterlands or Peak Monsters are, but once I got a hold of the menu on the left and set the right edition and rarity it became much better, though it would be nice to have the prices listed under the cards, I am sure the user interface improvements are coming soon:

Once I set the rarity to legendary and edition to Reward I clicked the Oshannus icon and got the buy options screen:

I picked one of the $38 options and clicked buy. This placed the card in the cart and after clicking on the cart I completed the buying process. The site notified me that the card was purchased and that DEC cashback was delivered.

All in all it was a pretty successful buying experience and I am sure this will not be my last buy from Card Auctionz. Over time purchasing many cards even 3.25% cashback will add up!

I will put this card on the rental market while I wait for it to go out of print and appreciate. This is what is great about Splinterlands, there are so many ways to make money in the Splinterlands eco-system and nft asset appreciation and card rentals are just a few out of many. The game itself is also really fun and rewarding.
