Mastering Splinterlands: Unleashing the Power of Aim True with Immortalis!

In the ever-evolving realm of Splinterlands, where strategy reigns supreme, I recently fought a thrilling battle armed with a unique combination that showcased the prowess of the green legendary summoner, Immortalis. My primary focus was on countering magic attackers, a common sight in battles governed by the Back to Basics and Aim True rulesets that are in effect. Let's look closer at my winning strategy.

Using Aim True ruleset to win a battle!

RULESET: Aim True

Description:

Melee and Ranged attacks will always hit their target.

This applies to magic attacks even if the Phase ability is in play.

The Strategy

Summoning Immortalis: A Shield Against the Magical Onslaught

The cornerstone of my strategy is in the selection of Immortalis as my summoner. This formidable summoner proved to be an invaluable asset, particularly against the magic attackers that were expected to dominate the battlefield. With the Aim True ruleset eliminating the concern of ranged attackers missing their mark, Immortalis stood tall as the perfect choice for this magical encounter.

The synergy between Immortalis and the Back to Basics ruleset further solidified my decision. Anticipating a plethora of magic attackers from my opponent, Immortalis became the linchpin of my defensive strategy, ready to repel any mystical onslaught with unwavering resilience.

Tank Duo: Pelacor Mercenary and Legionnaire Alvar

The frontline of my formation consisted of two stalwart tanks – Pelacor Mercenary and Legionnaire Alvar. Pelacor Mercenary, with its impressive eleven health points and a shield of one, proved to be a resilient anchor even in the Back to Basics ruleset. Meanwhile, Legionnaire Alvar brought its substantial nine shield and seven health points to the fray, boasting a balance of durability and offense with a speed of two and three melee attacks.

This tank duo served as the meat shields, absorbing blows and creating a formidable barrier that would prove crucial in buying time for my backline attackers to unleash havoc.

Backline Powerhouses: Gem Meteor

In the backline, I strategically positioned high-damage ranged attackers to capitalize on the protection afforded by the tank duo. Mycelic Slipspawn, a rare Chaos Legion core set member, assumed the role of a high-health magic attack monster. The goal was simple – let it endure as long as possible, enabling the backline to deal sustained damage.

Regal Peryton, a swift flying monster with three magic damage, emerged as the ideal choice for shattering tank armor. Its exceptional speed and elusive nature ensured that it fired the first salvo, disrupting enemy defenses before they could react.

Gem Meteor, a neutral epic rarity monster, rounded out the backline with a perfect blend of speed, ranged damage, and health points. Its five mana cost was a small price to pay for the potential havoc it could wreak on the battlefield.

Venari Seedsmith: The Swift Ranged Assassin

Completing my formidable lineup was Venari Seedsmith, a fast ranged damage dealer boasting a base speed of four, four ranged damage, and four health. This nimble assassin added a touch of versatility to my strategy, capable of swiftly eliminating threats from a distance.

In conclusion, my Splinterlands strategy in the Aim True ruleset, anchored by the formidable Immortalis and supported by a strategic mix of tanks and ranged attackers, proved to be a winning formula. As the battle unfolded, the synergy between my carefully chosen monsters came to life, culminating in a victorious display of strategic mastery on the magical battlefield. Remember, in Splinterlands, success lies not just in the strength of individual cards but in the artful orchestration of a synergistic ensemble.

The Summoner

Immortalis is a great summoner to use in battles where you would expect a lot of magic attackers or heavily shielded monsters. I used it in the Aim True ruleset due to the additional Back to Basics ruleset where I would expect a lot of magic attackers from my opponent.

1st Slot - Tank

Pelacor Mercenary is a great tank even in the Back to Basic ruleset, this resilient tank comes with base health of eleven and shield of one with four speed and three melee damage.

2nd Slot - Secondary Tank Monster

Legionnaire Alvar is a beefy tank with nine shield and seven health points with the speed of two and three melee attack.

3rd Slot - High Health Point Magic Monster

Mycelic Slipspawn is a rare Chaos Legion core set member. I used it as a high health point magic attack monster. Basically the hope is for it to last as long as possible to give the backline ranged attackers to produce more damage.

4th Slot - Fast Attacking Monster

Regal Peryton is a very fast flying monster that is hard to hit and that delivers three magic damage. I like using this monster to shatter tank armor as it normally fires first.

5th Slot - Fast Ranged Damage Dealer Monster

Gem Meteor is a neutral epic rarity monster that comes with a high speed of five, high ranged damage of four and decent health points of five all for only five mana

6th Slot - Fast Ranged Damage Dealer Monster

Venari Seedsmith is a fast ranged damage dealer. It comes with a base speed of four, four ranged damage and four health.

THE BATTLE

We both went with Immortalis as our summoner. Despite that the strategy is somewhat different, let's see how it will turn out.

In the first round we lost our front tank and took out their tank, secondary tanks took some serious damage as well.

In the second round we lost our secondary tank and took out their secondary tank. So far the battle looks very even!

In round three we finally took a very small lead with 3 monsters remaining as opposed to their one monster with twelve health left of the field. But their monster can fire three magic damage from the first position and we have a very low health magic monster with two ranged attackers. This will come down to speed and will be very close!

After round four we have two monsters remaining with it coming down to the last shot!

And in round five it is all over with one final ranged strike from Venari Seedsmith!
