Meanwhile My Staked SPS has Quietly Passed 700K

It doesn't seem like it has been that long since my last post on November 20, 2025 when I reached 600K staked SPS and now I am at over 700,000 Staked SPS!

So in the last four months I have accumulated one hundred thousand SPS without buying any in the market. And that is twenty five thousand SPS per month on average! At this rate I will be at eight hundred thousand SPS by July and nine hundred thousand by November and in a year from now at a million SPS.

What is interesting is that the value of my SPS is staying pretty much constant at these milestones despite the increasing numbers of staked SPS. If we look a the value of my six hundred thousand SPS from last November we will see that it was about the same as the value of my seven hundred SPS, in fact it was a bit higher:

And if we look at the value of my staked SPS from August of 2025 or three months prior to the last milestone we see that five hundred fifty thousand staked SPS was value at $3,907:

This shows that it is hard to keep up with the declining value of SPS tokens. But we are in a crypto bear market right now and if we look at a one year chart of SPS we will see that there were some major SPS pumps a long the way.

The big pump last year came in April when the main set of cards Conclave Arcana was released and there was another smaller pump in the price of SPS around the start of this year which coincided with the release of the Escalation mini-set.

If we measure the major pump last April we see that it gave SPS token a 136% pump so you would have doubled your money if you just played that pump:

The smaller pump at the start of this year would have given you around fifty percent return:

So with predictable card set releases it should be fairly easy to accumulate some SPS tokens and sell them into a pump and if we stay within the Splinterlands and Hive ecosystem there are various places to place the funds from safer options like HBD to more volatile tokens like Hive when SPS token gets too expensive compared to Hive. You could also use the profits from the trade to buy things like Splinterlands cards.

None of this is an investment advice, but a simple thought comes to my mind that these pumps are very predictable as we know that the next release is going to be the main set and we will get a nice pump to double our money.

I don't know when the next set is going to come out, but from what I heard and in my estimate it should be towards the end of the year. Right now we are already down to some very attractive levels on the SPS tokens which are only 25% off of the all time low set more than a year ago in August of 2024:

So it would make sense to start nibbling on SPS on the days where we have big red candles and accumulate some prior to the next major set release and sell some into the next big pump.

I am not sure that I will be doing this, because I just don't have spare cash laying around, but it sure sounds like a very interesting idea. I will however continue to accumulate SPS to achieve my goal of one million staked SPS.
