The Strategy

This strategy revolves around building a balanced team that can hold its own against any opponent, utilizing a combination of powerful summoners and monsters from the Chaos Legion set.

Summoner: Kelya Frendul
Kelya Frendul is the backbone of our team, a rare rarity summoner from the Chaos Legion set. With the ability to equip the whole team with an extra speed and shield, Kelya provides a crucial boost to our monsters' survivability and agility on the battlefield. With her at the helm, we're ready to take on any challenge that comes our way.

Monster 1: Diemonshark
Next up, we have Diemonshark, a rare member of the Chaos Legion Core set and our trusty tank. With impressive stats including four base speed, four melee damage, six shield, and ten health points, Diemonshark is capable of holding the front line and turning the tide of battle in our favor. Plus, with abilities like Trample, Enrage, and Retaliate, Diemonshark is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

Monster 2: Torrent Fiend
Torrent Fiend, a legendary monster from the Chaos Legion core set, serves as our secondary meat shield and bait for monsters with the opportunity ability. With its headwinds ability that reduces the ranged attack of opposing monsters, Torrent Fiend provides invaluable support to our team while keeping our opponents on their toes.

Monster 3: Deeplurker
Deeplurker, another member of the Chaos Legion core set, brings versatility and power to our lineup. As a common rarity monster with stats and abilities that rival those of rare or epic monsters, Deeplurker is a valuable asset on the battlefield. With abilities like Opportunity, Poison, and Demoralize, Deeplurker adds a layer of strategy and unpredictability to our team composition.

Monster 4: Doctor Blight
Last but not least, we have Doctor Blight, a legendary rarity monster from the Chaos Legion Promo set. As a support monster with the camouflage ability, Doctor Blight excels at hiding until the very end of the battle, while abilities like Poison, Affliction, and Weaken wreak havoc on our opponents. While I don't personally own Doctor Blight, I've found renting this powerful monster to be well worth it for the added edge it brings to our team.

In conclusion, the Even Stevens strategy combines the strengths of our summoner and monsters to create a well-rounded team capable of taking on any challenge. With Kelya Frendul leading the charge and a lineup of formidable monsters at our disposal, we're ready to conquer the battlefield and claim victory in the Modern league.

The Summoner

Kelya Frendul is rare rarity summoner from the Chaos Legion set. This four mana summoner is one of the strongest summoners in the Modern league. This summoner equips the whole team with one extra speed and one shield.

1st Slot - Tank Monster

Diemonshark is also a rare member of the Chaos Legion Core set. This is a great tank that is capable of winning a game all on it's own. At level eight Diemonshark comes with a base speed of four, four melee damage, six shield and ten health points. It uses up eight mana which is great as it is not susceptible to a giant killer. Diemonshark has three important abilities: Trample, Enrage and Retaliate

2nd Slot - Opportunity Bait Monster

Torrent fiend is a legendary monster from the Chaos Legion core set. The main utility for Torrent fiend is a secondary meat shield and a bait for monsters with opportunity ability for zero mana, this is a must have monster for these kinds of battles. It also comes with a headwinds ability that reduces ranged attack of all opposing ranged monsters.

3rd Slot - Opportunity Monster

Deeplurker is another member of the Chaos Legion core set. It is common rarity monster with base speed of four, five melee damage , seven health and Opportunity, Poison and Demoralize abilities. This monster is too good for a common rarity card, this is closer to Rare or Epic monster with these kinds of stats and abilities for only six mana.

4th Slot - Support Monster

Doctor Blight is a legendary rarity monster from the Chaos Legion Promo set. This is a great support monster that I normally put in the back because it has Camouflage ability that helps it hide until the very end of the battle and Scavenger ability that helps it accumulate health as monsters die on the battlefield. It also comes with an important Poison and Affliction as well as Weaken abilities that further hurt the opposing team until the very end of the battle. This is a very hard to counter monster, unfortunately I don't own it, so I rent this one.

THE BATTLE

Our opponent also went with a blue team choosing the same tank, opportunity and fiend monsters but with a different summoner and Venator Kinjo to slow us down. Let's see how it goes...

In the first round we landed poison on their tank and they landed poison on our fiend:

Second round was an exchange of blows that lead to both tanks going down, we took out their Venator Kinjo with our Doctor Blight, but they managed to land poison or our opportunity monster:

In round three our Doctor Blight landed poison on their opportunity monster which lead to a win in round four:

A nice win against a higher rated opponent

Happy Weekend,
How was your season end rewards discovery?
The bull run on the market has distracted me from the battle ranking section.
Thank you for sharing your gaming activities with the community.
