Season Review From a Top 50 Modern Champion Player
📖 Introduction
I believe it is important to track your progress and strategize in Splinterlands so here is my report covering battle performance, earnings, rewards and market activity.
This season I have once again chosen to stay completely in Modern and that seems to be the right decision as I moved deep into the Champion One territory in the Modern League.
My win rate actually improved slightly from last season, thought it looks like I have fought slightly less battles than last season:
Overall I feel like I had another great season so let's dive into the details!

I am completely happy with my win rate of almost fifty five percent as I spent the season entirely in Modern Champion and most of it in Champion 2 and Champion 1 battling professional Splinterlands players (scholars) with very strong decks.
Finishing up in the top fifty was a great result considering that there are only about 15 non-scholars in top 50.

For the first time in the last three or four seasons my top source of earnings is again SPS Validator block validation earnings. I would attribute it to the fact that for a good portion of the season many of the top voted validators were offline as they don't pay attention to their validators and our validators tend to miss blocks and once they miss enough blocks in a row the validators get disabled and you have to fix them and manually re-enable. I keep a tight watch on my validator and fix issues right away when they come up so my validator was able to validate more blocks because other validators above me stayed offline for multiple days before they fixed them.

I continue to earn Merits, though there is no current use case for those at least for me as I have all my gladiator cards maxed out a while ago.

Vouchers are coming in at a nice and steady pace thanks to my considerable SPS stake and SPS validator staking voucher rewards.

Thanks to my league advancement from Champion three to Champion two and then to Champion one I have earned a good amount of chests. But as usual there was nothing special in them as you will see below.
