Splinterlands Harvest of Heroes — A Thanksgiving Tribute

As this Thanksgiving week is drawing to a close I am participating in the Splinterlands Harvest of Heroes event where we are highlighting what or who in Splinterlands we are most grateful for this year.
I would like to highlight @aftersound as he is my YouTube go to source of everything Splinterlands. He is my favorite YouTube content creator for Splinterlands and does outstanding job covering what is happening in Splinterlands.
I am also thankful to everyone who voted for my Splinterlands SPS Validator node and made it possible for me to be at number 13 among SPS Validators:

As you can see from the image above I am also ready for the next Splinterlands software update that must be done before December 9th. SPS Validator Software version 1.2.0 will stop working on December 9th and all validators must upgrade to version 1.3.0 in order to continue signing blocks.
I am also thankful to @beaker007 who created some of my favorite Splinterlands and Hive tools this year. Including Splinterlands Statistics tool, which I really like and have used to help with my season data for this post. I would highly recommend you check out this tool at: https://github.com/gamerbeaker007/splinterlands-statistics/tree/main
I have set 5% to go to beaker and 5% to go to aftersound from the rewards for this post.
Today Splinterlands season number 171 drew to the close, so I am also including the analysis of my latest season in this post:

Season Summary
This was an interesting season, due to Hive Hardfork 28 we had some troubles with Splinterlands SPS Validation nodes, at some point there was only one SPS Validator node running, my node held up quite well as I kept trying to bring it back up and was one of the first nodes back up so my SPS validation rewards didn't suffer much, in fact I feel that there might be an uptick in my SPS validation rewards this season.

Last Season results
| Statistic | Wild | Modern |
|---|---|---|
| Battles | 428 | 1 |
| Rank | 366 | NA |
| Rating | 3860 - CHAMPION_III | 1120 - SILVER_III |
| Rating High | 3920 | 1120 |
| Win PCT (Wins/battles * 100) | 50.7 (217/428) | 100.0 (1/1) |
| Longest Streak | 7 | 2 |
As you can see I played a total of one battle this season in Modern and I won that battle, the rest of my battles were played in Wild League as I am trying to maximize the amount of glint I am earning in order to make the most of the new reward cards.

Earnings and costs
| Earnings | # |
|---|---|
| SPS validator block validation | 6299.013 |
| SPS staking reward | 1268.566 |
| SPS ranked battle (wild) | 1259.436 |
| SPS validator reward | 296.155 |
| SPS ranked battle (modern) | 0.663 |
| SPS brawl | 213.948 |
| MERITS brawl prizes | |
| GLINT ranked | |
| GLINT season |
As you can see my top source of SPS rewards remains SPS validator block validation rewards and that is why I am very thankful to all those who have voted for my SPS validator.
Every single SPS that I earn is automatically staked. I have never sold my SPS other than use it to purchase my SPS Validator license in the past. Going forward I will keep staking everything I earn and in fact my SPS validator node rewards are auto-staked every five minutes.

As you can see my validator rewards actually went up from my last report about a month ago from 5,689 to 6,299 SPS this season, while my SPS staking and ranked rewards are actually down, brawl rewards are also down, so everything is down this season in terms of SPS rewards and only SPS Validator rewards are holding my rewards up:

The red line represents my SPS rewards from the Wild Ranked and the blue line represents my SPS brawl rewards:

Costs
| Costs | # |
|---|---|
| GLINT rewards draws |
As you can see I earned about 509K Glint tokens this season, but I have actually spent 825K Glint tokens on chests and other items. That is a deficit of over 300K and I would not be able to sustain this kind of Glint expenditures for much longer going forward. I had accumulated some Glint tokens prior to new reward cards release.

Cards Purchased
Note: Completed splex.gg and peakmonsters bids are not in this overview, those are purchased by other accounts.
1x bcx: 1 |
As you can see I have purchased an old beta card Furious Chicken. I purchased just one BCX as I have realized that I don't have this card and it is actually quote useful to play in low mana battles. This cost is so cheap that I picked it up from my available DEC.
Cards Sold
I usually don't sell any cards though gold foil new reward cards might be a smart sell at this point.
Reward draws purchased
As you can see I bought all of the chests from the first tranche this season. As you know this season we have new jack-pot reward cards that are available in chests, so I wanted to make sure I get the maximum chance of getting those.

As usual I didn't get any special items in my chests, but I did get a very nice number of energy.

League rewards
I earned a good number of new rewards cards, but I still have a long way to go to make these cards really playable at the high level. So I will continue stacking these cards.

As usual nothing really special in my league advancement chests.

No legendary reward cards in my league advancement chests...

Closing notes
Another productive season has come to the end. I am currently looking at what cards represent the best opportunities to improve the strength of my Splinterlands Wild deck. So far I see that the best values can be found in the Riftwatchers card set as those card have really dropped in value recently and trade at the same level as Chaos Legion cards.

If you have some staked SPS please vote for my SPS Validator Node HERE
I am also a Hive Witness and would really appreciate your vote for me as a witness: https://vote.hive.uno/@seattlea

If you play manually only, wouldn't it be better to play modern? Better rewards, easier games not against bots
But you have to have enough high level cards and summoners to play modern...
Thanks @seattlea... Also for being part of this amazing community 😍
I bought some rewards with some glint the other day. I don't think I got much of anything good though. I might try to sell a lot of stuff if people are paying a premium to make CINDER.
Don't you have to burn cards to make Cinder?
Yeah, prices of cards might go up with people looking for ones outside of their collection to burn.
