Survival Mode was back last season. I must say it was a bit of a rough start for the survival mode as the liquidity bots featured some extreme line-ups the first few days. Basically I felt like there is no way to win in the bracket five (Expert).

After a few days Splinterlands listened to the player feed back and have tweaked the bots to the point where they became very beatable with the max level deck in Modern until you get to Silver Two or so, at least that is how far I have gotten in it last season.

This is my last three modern seasons and this season has been more difficult than the last one.

Season Summary

This season I have played for the Modern Champion leaderboard. As I have predicted in my last post that analyzed last season it is clear that with my existing deck it is more optimal to play for the Diamond leaderboard instead of the champion leaderboard. As you can see I was not able to place in the top 100 on the Champion leaderboard. I came in at 107 last season with a rating of 3660.

My win rate was not great either as I was able to win only 191 battles out of 410 or a win rate of 46.59%. The top 100 in Modern is just too competitive for my deck at this time.

As you can see I have not played in Wild league this season. This is another experiment where I focus on the Modern league only and see if that is better in terms of Glint and SPS earnings. I will get into that in detail below.

Thanks to my focus on the Modern league my SPS ranked rewards have really improved. Now ranked came as a close second to my SPS block validation rewards.

What is interesting to note is that my SPS earnings this season in Modern league have went down from 3816 SPS to 3354 SPS and that is due to a couple factors it seems:

1. I won four more battles last season 195 versus 191 this season
2. I was playing at a higher ranking last season so my SPS earnings were higher.

I have also experienced a significant drop in SPS block validation rewards, but that is not something that I can control. Overall SPS earnings took a dip this season:

Glint earnings also took a dive this season from 315,798 glint tokens down to 217,146 Glint tokens:

The chart shows a sum of Ranked Glint and Season Glint so that is why the numbers are double.

Last season I also won 31 battles in wild so my total wins were actually 35 wins more than this season. Also the total number of battles was 438 battles as opposed to 410 battles this season.

I think that spending glint tokens on buying energy in Modern Diamond league makes the most sense as far as Glint token usage...

Last season I have followed my usual strategy of purchasing Minor and Medium chests the full firth tranche. I also bought one Ultimate chest, but it turned out to be junk, so I stopped right there :)

As you can see I have advanced only one league during last season so the amount of chests was quite limited.

This season report confirms my earlier conclusions that I should be staying at the Diamond Leaderboard where I can probably get 100K to 150K of glint from the leaderboard and Survival mode seems to be the best playing the fifth bracket, though match liquidity is definitely an issue there as most players are in the 11th bracket:
