You may have the best cards in your collection, But do you know when and how to use them to the best of their potential? If yes then Congratulations! You're probably standing on the top 30 ranking of your current league.

However if you're still not getting those ranking rewards at the end of the season. Don't worry this is the reason why I created this guide, to help you win more on your battles and maximize those ECR's, eventually providing you longer winstreaks and bigger end season rewards. Let's start!

ENEMY FOUND

This screen shows up once the system has matched you to an opponent/player and this is what you normally see when an enemy is found.

So now that you have this screen, you should know what are the most important things you should look at before starting to draft a team.

Collection Power

This is very important as it will determine some of your matches even before starting to draft. Why? Because not everyone has a huge collection power so by looking into it you'll have a better understanding of what kind of opponent you have.

Collection Power can be classified as low or high depending on the League Power Requirements. So if your opponents power exceeds the League Power Requirement by 2x they're automatically classified as High Collection Power. While the Lower Collection Power is just playing along the lines of the boundary requirement.

(Unless you are in Novice or Bronze League where almost all of the players have Low to Zero Collection Power.)

Low Collection Power
These guys have not yet build up their collection unlike others, their matches can still easily be predicted through their Recenty Played Teams. There are 2 types of players in Low Collection Power:

  • Low Budget Renters - Mostly have 1 or 2 teams grinding to rank up with those specific rented cards, like Mylor, Kron, Llama, Yodin, Valnamor and others. But they usually just rent 1 or 2 of these that's why their power is still low.
  • Low Power Owned Cards - They just work with what they have even if their cards are low compared to the max level cap cards allowed for the league they are in.

How to Draft vs Low Collection Power?

After knowing their power, you can now proceed in viewing their Recently Played Teams, most of the time they only have 1 or 2 teams being played in their history because of the lack of other options. By hovering through their Recently Played Teams you'll see what type of cards they are using. After learning on what cards your enemy can use you can immediately predict their team and monsters, since they have limited option and low collection power. It's almost certain that you can predict their team. Without taking your Recently Played Teams in to account.

High Collection Power
Now people with these kind of Collections are most likely competeting on for the top 20 of that specific league. They are hard to read especially if you'll base it from their Recently Played Teams, because they have almost all the cards available in their bag. There's also 2 Types of them:

  • High Budget Renters - They Rent almost all of the important cards in every team to make sure they cover all the possible rules for team exceptions.

  • High Power Owned Cards - They most likely have everything and I mean everything from A-Z. Players normally fight within the top 1-10 most likely to have a complete set of cards available on their disposal.

How to Draft vs High Collection Power

Now it's your time to get looked upon, because you'll really need to look at what team you've been using recently since you'll probably have a lower power collection againts them.

That's right you'll have to depend on your Recently Played Team now. It'll be really difficult to read a High Collection Power just because they have everything available. So it would be a disadvantage when you base it on their Recently Played Games.

Instead you go look back and remember what you've used for the last 6 games. Then ask yourself If you we're them what would you think "you" would use against them? This is like predicting what would they be expecting of you and go aother way.

It's one of the best way to go againsts players with High Collection Power. I myself have succeed in doing this things alot of times already. So I have no doubt that most of you guys ca do it too.

What you should always take a look at before Drafting
  • Summoner - Things you should consider when looking at the Summoners are their abilities, What kind of skill/stat will they grant the cards that will be played by the opponent.
  • Melee - Look for their skills. Let me list down some of the important skills to take note from melee's and how to overcome them.
Opportunity

image.png
Weakness (Can be stalled by putting fillers like chicken or slime or other low hp cards just until your main cards do their job)

Sneak

image.png
Weakness (Can be easily countered by putting a monster card with retaliate and/or thorns. Can also be manipulated by taunt and delayed by fillers)

Thorns

image.png
Weakness (Can easily be avoided by using Range/Magic monsters, Having a shield can also reduce the thorn damage by half)

Retaliate

image.png
Weakness (Skill can be easily looked over when you use Range/Magic monsters)

Flying

image.png
Weakness (Can be countered by monsters with Snare or Magic attack monsters)

  • Range - Look for their skills. Let me put the most important skills to take note and what you can do to best them.
Snipe

image.png
Weakness (Just put a tank type monster that has Return Fire skill on the 2nd postion and make sure that this monster doesn't have an attack or is range or magic to return the Range dmg to the attacker, can also boost with monster with shield or armor to prevent from dying easily from multiple Snipe monsters.)

Also avoid putting your best range or magic attack monster on the 2nd position or they will be the first to be taken out

Blast

image.png
Weakness (Can be prevented by armor and can be killed Return Fire Skill only if the attacker is range)

  • Magic - Same with Range skills however Magic ignores armors or shield.
Weakness (Monsters with reflect magic damage and Void which reduces magic damage)
Notable Monsters with innate counter against magic:
Oster Rotwell (Summoner applies reflect magic damage to all cards that will be played under it)
    Failed Summoner (Reflects magic damage)
    Prismatic Energy (Reflects magic damage)

Additional Pointers:

Speed

image.png
When battling an opponent with equal level cards on low mana rules, always pick the fastest speed monsters with descent damage since they have the ability to take out the opposing team before they can even start attacking. Most of the times speed is the main factor of winning and losing.

Neutral Cards

Always utilize neutral cards they have the most used cards in the game in every league. In lower leagues neutrals doesn't have that many skills and uses but the chicken and slime are almost always present in every game.

However on higher leagues the neutral cards that you may have ignored on bronze, silver and gold have very different skill on the diamond and champion league(provided they are max level).

Maximize Mana

Always maximize your mana never use your entire mana just to send 2 or 3 monsters in the battlfield especially there's 20+ mana to be spent. As much as possible always use the exact mana to fill your team.

Get as much Summoner

You'll need to have more options when you're grinding up summoners are mostly the key to winning since they give alot of stats and skills to the cards that you'll use in battle.

Use cards with Slow

Always use them as much as possible. They give a lot of help especially 1 or 2 difference in speed can change a whole scenario.

Last is always have FUN

Enjoy the game and don't dwell too much when your winstreak ends.

If you came this far I'd like to thank you for your time in reading this post. I hope this somehow help you in producing more victories in your rank games.
