Another Lost Battle!!!!!!!!!! What cards should I buy?
I can't get passed Bronze III
I am getting closer every day but so far I haven't gotten passed bronze III. This last battle was a close one (not to the next league) here's the link:

I am getting close to understanding my cards better, but I do not know what cards to buy or rent right now.... Just going through a quest every day in hopes of getting another card drop like the one above, the PELACOR CONJURER which I don't know what to do with at the moment!
I did get a couple potions though.
Anyone know of a good couple cards to buy for a beginner? please let me know.

Thanks! Just bought the Sea Monster but I haven't been able to use it... it doesn't show up as an option fro a card to use!
Sea Monster is a Water monster, so you need to use a Water summoner (for example Alric Stormbringer) to be able to use it. Or a Dragon summoner (for example Delwyn Dragonscale, Kretch Tallevor), if you have one.
Been on the water quest today. It's still not available.
Can you give me a screenshot from your "Cards" page about this monster? Seeing the card "Status" symbols may give an answer to why it is not usable in battles.

Just figured it out... the card still has a 9h cool down period!

Congratulations on your Sea Monster. He was probably on cooldown when you bought him so there was a timer before he could be used.
While he is powerful I noticed you only have him at lvl 2 which means 8 life and that means he heals for 2/round. At lvl 3 he heals for 3/round. May seem like a small difference but its huge in a battle. With the Crustacean king behind him also healing its the difference between 4 heal/round and 6/round.
I showed you four consecutive wins in Silver using a lvl 2 Bortus (Bronze lvl) a lvl 3 Sea serpent (Bronze lvl) and basic starter cards (crustacean king, pixie, etc) along with Pelacor Bandit (common card).
If you are using lvl 1 summoners in Bronze you will have a tough time because all of your monsters will be base level and you have no advantage. A lvl 2 summoner with one or two levelled cards will make all the difference!

I think I'm ready for those delegated cards... I can't even move up to Bronze right now! Everyone seems to have better cards than last season!
I'll see about tomorrow morning. Right now all those people who were in Silver got knocked back to Bronze at end of season. I'm having issues as well in Bronze 2 but at end of season I was Silver 3.
Okay. I delegated a water splinter line to you. Try it out for two days (will need some time for cooldown though). Bortus to protect you from magic. Seamonster to regenerate. Crustacean King for additional healing. Pelacor Bandit and Saber Shark to take out the enemy backline. It usually works best in battles less than 20 mana but give it a try and see how it goes for you.

Thanks it went well. There were still times when others whooped my ass but it was fun to have stronger cards for a moment there.
I would have lend them for longer but had my own battles. Hope you understand what I meant about the difference between a levelled up card and not (like seamonster lvl 1 vs lvl 3). :)

Took a look at some other battles and chose this as an example:
In your line-up you had the Minotaur in 3rd position where he couldn't attack from. If the goblin thief and Minotaur changed places you could have hit faster. Also you chose the Goblin Sorceror and Elvin Mage. I probably would have changed out the elven mage for the pixie one. The same damage but you would have saved 2 mana so you could have changed out the dwarf in the final spot. The dwarf in the final spot can't attack and is just sitting there getting picked off. If you had chosen the Mantis in final spot you could have been able to withstand more damage (6 life) and dealt more damage (2/rnd) with snipe to take out the enemy truthspeaker and chariot.
General rule of thumb...every monster in your line-up attacks every round. Maximize damage from every spot and you increase your chances of winning :)
Wow that was a great breakdown of the battle thanks. Still learning the different abilities the monsters have. I thought the reach ability could hit from any position like the minautor and the dwarf!
Right now, most people are using the water summoner Alric with magic monsters Djinn Oshanus and Venari Wavesmith in bronze leauge. If you can rent these two or buy if possible and play most of your matches with them, you can easily move into Bronze 2 and higher. Also, see if you can rent the Earth Summoner Mylor Crowling, he gives thorns ability to all your monsters. A very useful ability in Bronze. Sea Monster is a good card that you bought too, heal is pretty handy to have.
