My Entry for Splinterlands Art Contest Week 189- "Teddy Bear"

Hello Hive friends!

I'm back with my entry for this week's Splinterlands Art Contest. I miss this, because last week is Midterm week that's why I'm so busy and was unable to participate 😔. But now I am with my entry I named "Teddy Bear".

Inspiration

According to the lore of Tusk the Wide, Teddy bear is the term used to describe him, not only because of how he looks but I think it is because he is sweet and caring.
This picture of him is taken from the village he just saved (taken from the lore too)

Drawing Process

Sketch and Outline

On creating the sketch I use the shapes guide at first thinking it will be much easier but ended up still creating my own shapes haha, and it is easy because his belly is really wide 🤗

Drawing Details

On drawing the details It didn't feel so hard for me unlike on my past drawings, I think Im improving😁 But drawing Tusk is really enjoying because he's cute hahaha huggable.

Coloring Process

Coloring is not that hard for me because the colors that are use for Tusk the Wide is not that hard to find, I just needed to balancethe colors so that it will not be awkward

Shadow and Highlight

The way that I put shadow and highlight here in this artwork is different from my past artworks, because I just learned this technique by eatching tutorial videos, although you all can see that I am still practicing 👍

Creation of Background

So from my previous artwork I learned that creating the background separated from your drawing is really effective, snd this is the background I created.

That is the background I created but after showing it to my girlfriend she suggested that I should darken the inside of the trees so that it will look more realistic.
