Season 108 Splinterlands Recap - Level 2 Summoner (Bronze League Caps) Account Earnings and Performance Review

It's hard to believe, but it's I've been another two weeks and another successful season in splinterlands. It's time to take a look at how my account performed, earned, and what I'm going to do next season.
This account is based off of level 2 summoners that has a lot of common and rare gold foil in the modern division. I am mostly ignoring untamed cards since I started building this deck when chaos legion came out. Much of untamed was unobtainable at the time due to price constraints on my end. I am working to complete my collection in the modern format of all chaos legion, and rift watchers, and rewards as they happen to triple in since that we can no longer buy them.
My account currently has a value of around $930 USD, and $99,000 collection power. The value of my account is driven mostly by the completed legendary collection, and the older out of print gold foil cards that I have which have gone up recently. Either way I am looking at my season roi based on a 900 to $1,000 collection of cards.
Performance

This is the second season in a row where my performance has been substandard. I am once again a below a 1.0 win loss ratio, and I really struggled to have consistent wins. This season I definitely felt that my cards were significantly underclassed in the majority of matches once I got to the top of gold. I was clearly facing gold league decks or at least maxed silver league decks in gold one. While I was still able to win a fair number of matches, it was very frustrating at times to complete any quests.
Season Rewards

Overall My season rewards were similar to the past few seasons. Clearly there is a bit of luck as to which reward cards you get into which order. Always happy and foil whenever I can, and I am still collecting and holding on to chaos thinking packs for the time being
Highlights
There are a few highlights I did get three gold foil cards along with that massive SPS chest and help to build my team and or rental deck that allows me to earn more income.
- 1 CHAOS PACK
This is added to my collection of chaos packs that I'm holding on to. I stopped opening these as I have had terrible luck, and just not enough to make it worthwhile to open. I think my account will do better to hold these until the new addition is out and then use the sale of the chaos packs to fund the purchase of individual cards to help my team. - GF GOBSON BOMBER any gold foil common card will be immediately put to use, or if it's a duplicate sold or rented once they're no longer sold out
- GF DRYBONE BARBARIAN same as the previous card, it's a great one to get into gold and it has some very interesting use cases
- 6 SUMMONERS summoners are clearly key to this game and getting extra copies will always be useful. Not sure how the value will hold long-term on these reward summoners, but having the ability to level them up will be nice. I'm still actually waiting to get my water summoner up to level two to be used.
Earnings Stats and Graphs

These charts are not necessarily telling great story. My total earnings continue to drop for the season but this is still heavily influenced by the fact that the cards have little to no value. The only way to have value in your season rewards at this time is getting hacks and SPS.
- Earnings
Earnings are down, and a frustratingly yet again down 17% from the expected value. We could do a bit better with pulling some big SPS chests or really just one more pack of chaos legion cards and of my total would be right on par. - SPS
SPS is fine as I continue to stack it. I am looking to add to my SPS stack for the long term and I'm aiming to add 4,000 SPS over the next couple months. I am currently saving and second 100% of all of my earnings, but we'll need to add some outside dollars to get to my goal - Cards
I'm always happy to see the total number of cards got in to go up overtime. This is kind of curious as I believe my total number of chests has not necessarily gone up in correlation but the changes to rewards and getting multiple cards per chest has been a very positive change for me. I think it will be interesting to see how I can do next season
Win/Loss and Chests Won

As you can see, I have been focusing almost entirely on gold chests for the past few seasons thinking it was the best choice for me. I have been a little light on total cold chests as they have become harder and harder for me to win since my winning streaks are going away and even just getting wins in general has been tougher. I think that some of the changes has forced me to reconsider which League I plan as I need to get my win-loss ratio well back over 1.0
Overall summary
Overall I guess I can be fairly happy with my account performance given that I was playing in gold for the entire season with a bronze leveled deck. I guess my success has a lot to do with my ability to play lower level cards against higher level cards as well as they're being other even more weaker accounts than mine all the way up in the gold.
Changes for season 109
The biggest change for season 109 the current season, is that I purposely ended season 108 in Gold 2 which allowed me start the season in silver. I am not going to complete my daily quests in silver until the final few days where I will push for gold 2 again. I think I'm much happier opening 7:00 to 10:00 silver chests and winning the majority of my matches versus struggling to get two to three gold chests a day. I'm not sure how this might impact my gold chest earnings, but it might be interesting if I can sit in silver one and put wind streaks together I might actually earn more reward points per win than I do in gold.
Increased Collection is helping - still working on RiftWatchers & GF cards
Buying all of those legendary cards and spending $200 to $300 last month was a big boost to my account. Was legendary cards have a clear advantage in many of the game types and continue to make it easier
- Common & Rare GF
I have completed the common rift watchers collection in Gold foil, but I'm still working on the rare cards. I still need six rare gold foil cards before it's completed and I can move on to getting epic cards. I will only be focusing on non-gold foil for the ethics simply due to monetary constraints especially considering I will need four of each to be the correct level on my cards
overall I think it was a fairly decent season, but not my best. Hoping for some better luck this season with the RNG God but only time can tell.
Is there a way to see my current season win-loss ratio? I would be very interested to see how I'm performing this season versus prior seasons and see what the best choice would be.
