Introduction

Last week, I covered my early Splinterlands experience. This week I want to share my plans for moving forward in this journey.

Journey Moving Forward

The journey moving forward is an interesting one. The team came out with some news a few months ago that they were low on money and had to do another layoff. It was a bit worrisome but things seem to be doing well for now. I still believe Splinterlands will be a top player in the web3 gaming space despite not having the triple AAA game type of quality. I feel quality is a small issue and it can easily be improved over time. I think the big thing that Splinterlands is doing well is getting close to a balanced economy. By balanced economy I mean balancing people putting money into the ecosystem with those that are extracting.

I don't think I'll ever sell all my Splinterlands stuff. I really love the game and I hope to see them spread their product outside of just their autobattler TCG. I could see them doing magic chess with the cards as well. Even an MMORPG is possible. There's just so many different genre of games Splinterlands can add to once perfecting the current game. We are approaching good times in crypto and in the case of a bull rull and the prices of SPL assets appreciate, I will take some profit to invest later down the road when things go down.

As for my scholarship in Splinterlands, I will continue to play it as long as I have the time to do so. All the earnings I get from my scholarship are pretty much used to either get more SPS or get more cards. I will also continue being a manager of the balthazar scholarship program provided it doesn't end and Captain wants to keep me helping him out. You may have seen us in ranked play or in brawls. All the accounts are bltzr-wizard-700-729 and in case you didn't know I am bltzr-wizard-727.

Three Goals To Aim For This Year

1. Finish CL Gold Foil Commons and Rares Max and GF Quix Max
You can see that I've got all the GF rare summoners maxed out. I actually was aiming gold league before but somehow I just ended up maxing them out because I decided to be a bit more ambitious. I think the most recent completion I had was the max GF Ilthain which is what I got with my scholarship earnings and some of my blog earning. It was a slow buy but I'm happy that I finally got it and delegated to my scholar account which has been helping me win a lot.

2. Have 200k SPS Staked
Currently, I have around 125k SPS staked. This means to reach this goal for 200k SPS i need to roughly get about 25k SPS every 4 months. I feel this is feasible unless SPS price skyrockets. As I mentioned I would take profit so this goal may have to be adjusted if that were to happen.

3. Top 5 in Champ Leaderboard and Top 3 in Tournaments
I want to aim to reach and end one of the Splinterland seasons in top 5 of the champ leaderboard. It's a bit tough though without grimbardun smith so it will be a challenge. Tournaments are tough as well because there are really great players. I think for Champ leaderboard the highest reached was 34th place and for tournaments I think top 4 if not mistaken. This is probably one of the goals that I'm not sure I will be able to reach but I will try best.
