Pear painting

Pear painting acrylics on gessoed illustration board. We start out the painting with a thin wash of acrylics and let gravity do its job before coming in with thick paints for the lights painted with palette knife to get that hard and broken edgework.
Preparation of Illustration board with wet gesso. The gesso give the board texture and teeth to hold the acrylic paint. If you do not the board the paint wont stick well and will be flat.
