Chaos Legion Magic Monsters in Fire Splinter: Water Splinter Magic Dominance Challenged?

Magic never misses and it ignores armor

Any player of Splinterlands knows this statements truth, and big impact. Magic is to Splinterlands, what the crossbow was to warfare, revolutionary. The bow and arrow made the armored knight less dominant, but the crossbow made the armored knight obsolete.

Then there was Magic and Anti-Magic

Magic is to Strong Melee Monsters, what the crossbow was to armored knights; their weakness, and their downfall. In Splinterlands many a powerful Melee team has fallen before a line of 1+ Magic attack Monsters, whose attack was boosted to 2 plus by a Summoner Alfrick Stormbringer. Each round one or more proud and powerful Melee Monsters would have their bodies dragged of the battlefield. A demoralizing sight to see… indeed.

Return of balance to the Splinterverse between Magic and Melee.

However, in Splinterlands there are ways to counteract Magic, like void shield and Magic reflect. These tools, in the right hands, can be the downfall of a seemingly undefeatable Magic Team. And they bring balance back to the Splinterlands Universe; the Splinterverse.

Plus there’s always the Fire Splinter with low Mana, fast attacking sneak Monsters, to rapidly deplete the Mage Ranks of a water team, while Lava Monster deflects their attacks. This strategy has also turned the tide of battle in the Splinterverse.

More Balance to the Splinterverse

As I surveyed the pictures and abilities of the new Chaos League Monsters I was surprise by the appearance of not one, but four new Fire Splinter Monsters with Magic Attacks, and a new Fire Monster Magic Attack Sponge as in a tank with a lot of life and Magic attack resistance. These new Monsters will change the balance in the Splinterverse once again. As previously you could field a good Fire Monster Magic squad with effort and knowledge, it will be so much easier now with four additional Fire Monsters with Magic Attacks, that players will no longer be able to assume a player who uses predominantly the Fire Splinter is relying on Melee attacks and brute force. Now in addition to the existing talented range attack Monsters, Fire has a bunch of new Magic Attack Monsters, and it truly seems the the Water Splinter may not longer be the dominant Magic Splinter.

Looking at these new Chaos Legion Monsters, I think Magic will no longer to be dominated by the Water Splinter. What do you think?

Seems like something is going on, maybe the water splinter will have more attack monsters and less of the magic monster😆 Nevertheless, this is good because water is OP against fire by date.

I think that may be the goal, as I see a few more Melee attack Water Monsters.
