Strategy
While Water, Life, and Death Splinter have a few magic starter monsters between them I assumed not many of them would be available due to the Even Stevens rule set. Not many monsters have the Stun or Knockout ability at Silver 3 League so I wasn't worried about that. I went with a melee-range Life team headed by my recently rented Chanceus the Great as my summoner. Half my team--Shieldbearer, Luminous Eagle, and Silvershield Knight--were melee but boosted by Knight's Inspire ability. And the other half were ranged--Venari Crystalsmith, Pelacor Arbalest, and Prisomologist. I was betting on Chanceus rebuilding Shieldbearer's armor, Crystalsmith healing Shieldbearer's health, Arbalest doing the kill shots to enemies damaged by my melee-boosted monsters, and Prismologist's Blast ability taking down whoever was left.
Opponent's Team
They went with an unexpected magic water team, due to Alric Stormbringer being a summoner no longer available in the game's starter deck after Chaos Legion's release. He's about $200 on the market but prices are falling so hopefully that drops lower soon. Their front-line tank was a literal beast, Diemonshark who has high speed and armor and health and the Trample ability which makes it attack again if it kills an enemy monster. After that, they had another stomper by the name of Deeplurker who does 3 melee with the Opportunity ability which targets the enemy monster with the lowest health -- 4 melee damage due to their 4th position monster. Their pick of Demented Shark upped their first two monsters melee ability which gave them a total of 7 melee damage per round. After that powerful shark, they had Djinn Oshannus who was boosted by their summoner Alric to do 3 magic damage per round. Oshannus also has a speed of 5 which makes him hard to hit with melee and ranged, but even magic has a hard time with him due to his Void ability which reduces magic damage. After that, they had Wave Brood who is a ranged monster with an insane 12 health and the Taunt ability which causes the entire enemy team to focus their attacks on it until its dead. This was a great choice because it would force my team to use up their attacks killing Brood before moving on to the rest of the team. Their last monster was Doctor Blight who has 3 abilities: Weaken, Camouflage, and Knockout. Not only can he not be hit until he's in 1st position but his attacks have the chance to take away enemies ability to heal. Also, Blight and Brood and Shark are all gold-foil cards with slightly boosted stats which worried me a little but I was pretty confident in my life team.

Round 2: No monsters have been defeated. Diemonshark and Shieldbearer have lost all their armor and Shieldbearer's health has been reduced from 9 to 6. Djinn Oshannus's health has been reduced from 10 to 8. Wave Brood's health has been reduced from 12 to 4, and Doctor Blight's health has been sent from 4 to 2.

Round 3: Shieldbearer was defeated but Chanceus brought him back to life, rebuilt his armor, and Crystalsmith healed his life. Diemon Shark, Wave Brood, and Doctor Blight have been defeated. Deeplurker's health has gone from 6 to 3, and Djinn Oshannus's health from 8 to 6.

Round 4: Deeplurker has been defeated. Demented Shark has lost its armor and its health has gone from 6 to 1. Djinn Oshannus's health has gone from 6 to 4.

Round 4: Demented Shark has been defeated and the games ends on the 7th turn with Djinn Oshannus's defeat.

I won 20 Rating and over 12 Dark Energy Crystals from this battle.

Thanks! Yeah it was a battle between two really good teams so I was surprised I didn’t lose more monsters. Thanks to Chanceus, I was able to get Shieldbearer back.
